We got the opportunity to stay at Breggers Schwanen for 3 nights (thank you free dreams :-)) and were very fortunate to have beautiful summer extension. The area is beautiful and full of great outdoors opportunities. In our case, we enjoy the Schluchsee to stand up paddle every day. Many opportunities to park and access the waters. The hotel is...

You have the choice between a traditional (in the original Hotel) or a new room (in the new annexe). We stayed in the traditional house and the room was nice, big with terrace. It's not anymore very new but clean and friendly. If you like a big silence, that is the right place; but consider the prices. They are rather...

We spent a weekend together with our friend in Breggers Schwanen. We had room 109. The room is nice and the bathroom as well. Even if room is towards the street it is mostly quite. As I'm not a big SPA fan I can only comment about the pool. The temperature of the water was fine, the lenght ok -...

I can only reiterate the offer excellent reviews. This is a perfect location for hiking and getting away from it all, and the food, rooms and warm hosting are just what is required to relax afterwards. We visited with foodie relatives, and they were very impressed by the food provided, particularly on the gala dinner. It would be nice if...

There is no point in repeating the other most positive reviews of this hotel. In my (and my wife's) view Bregger's Schwanen can only be rated ten out of ten in every respect, whether service, pool and saunas, the food (!), or the rooms. Instead, I decided to write my review in English for all those travel(l)ers who feel more...

Have just returned from a wonderful walking holiday in the Black Forest staying at the Breggers Schwanan Hotel in Bernau. The warm welcome, friendly efficient service, lovely accommodation (land house) great food and fantastic spa made this a memorable holiday for all of our group (12). The personal attention from the owner Mr. Franz Bregger was much appreciated as was...

We stayed in one of the new rooms at the new extension of the hotel. I liked our room a lot, it was spacious, very light, very clean, had great beds and a nice bathroom. They used a lot of light wood, which gives them a nice feel without being to rustic. We upgrade to have a view towards the...

Breggers Schwanen is a wonderful Black Forest hotel with spacious and clean rooms, a large and quiet wellness area, a bar with a lovely view and amazing food. Breakfast is good, the (free!) lunch between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. is simply better than you get in an all-in hotel and dinner -five courses- is just wonderful (I think it's...

Our stay in Hotel Breggers Schwanen was even better than we had expected. We stayed in the "Landhauszimmer" (in the part of the hotel that hasn't been renovated). The room is tidy and rather large. There's a huge double bed, a desk, a table, two chairs, a cupboard and a flat-screen television. Our room had the best view and a...

“Choose a room that views the meadow and hills. Our friends paid extra for a suite and found it very spacious but did not like the covered balkony and that it got very warm up there. As they mentioned this to the owner he said that they are looking into A/C.”

“In the main building (which is older, but had been renovated), rooms 19 & 20 are quiet, have separate balconies and come with a wonderful view, although it can get quite warm in the evening and at night when it has been sunny during the day.”
