We have been staying in this hotel several times over the past 10 years and we see it deteriorating every year. Mainly due to lack of maintenance; there is (still) no air conditioning, bed linen, table clothes and towels have holes in it and wifi connection is poor. Breakfast hasn’t changed in all those years; limited choice, always the exact same products. What irritates us most is the unfriendly staff. You are either ignored or asked (every time you pass by the reception) if you can already pay your bill. In the “normal” world you pay when you check out but not on planet Rastelli! The same planet where they “welcome” you at breakfast with a growled “COFFEE??” They don’t know the words good morning and they don’t know how to smile (except for the blond, I think Polish, lady. She is really nice). Another thing that irritates is the cleaning staff running in and out of your room at the most impossible hours. Why on earth do you want to clean a room at 7am in a weekend and why keep on coming back in, once the room has been cleaned. This hotel is way overpriced!! The only good thing is the location; we are (desperately) waiting for some competition for Rastelli and always try Leuven first.

This is a good place to stay if you are looking for a quiet base to sleep and work in the evenings. I chose one of the rooms at the back of the hotel with a juliet balcony. It was spacious quiet, clean, and overlooked the car park. Breakfast was mainly continental but did have some hot food (eggs, sausage and bacon). Well worth staying at.

Being in hotel Rastelli several times over the last 10 years, I notice the hotel going back in service and facilities. The only positive point for me is the location. On the negative site I see the lack of atmosphere, especially in the bar, malfunctioning WiFi in some rooms and the absence of air conditioning and Mimi bar. In general the facilities are not in line with room rate. If you have the bad luck to have a room at the front you will wake up very early due to the traffic.

I spent 1 night at Rastelli hotel, Unfortunately it was the hottest day in Belgium and the rooms had no aircon system. Anyhow service was good and breakfast as well. Rooms quite old and simple but clean. All considered price should have been some lower

Not good, not bad, a very average hotel in all levels. It looks a 2 max 3 star hotel. Although the beds are good , the rest of the experience is very poor. Reception is closed at night, so it is better you have no need an night , the mini bar has only water , the breakfast is very limited in variety and it constantly has the last piece of bred, the last piece or even no bacon or eggs... Very very poor breakfast. The bar has no batman ! For the hitting you have to manually open some valves and you can not control the temperature easily, cleanness so an so, power sockets very few in the room, bathroom looks very old. Bad quality of bath towels, some of them with stings. In general looks a hotel for 60euro per night, but it costs more than 120 euro per night. What the hotel should do ? Better cleaning service, better towels, much better breakfast with proper variety but also with some eggs and bacon (it is a same eggs , bacon, bread to be always almost empty !), a bar man to serve a coffe or a beer, re Novato the bathrooms.
