Just spent a week at the Niseko Alpen Hotel. For convenient access to the chairlift it doesn't get any better. Each room comes with a ski locker and taking a break during the day is a breeze. The breakfast buffet is extensive Japanese food but if you're looking for something more western the Omlettes made by the chef are delicious....

Arrived late evening by bus from Kitchen train station and staff very helpful. Right on slope and close to shops and restaurants. Excellent bathing facilities. Japanese baths & outside hot spring.Very relaxing after day of skiing.

Start your day with a Hotel Alpen breakfast and the best Neisko coffee from "Mountain Kiosk'' across the road next to Visitors Centre. Dress really warmly - layer upon layer! Collect your ski gear from the well organised, warm locker area and walk approximately 20 metres to the Ace 2 Chairlift. Enjoy mountain food and then soak in the Onsen,...

Has 1 sushi restaurant, and one really good dinner restaurant inside. Also a convenience store with identical prices compared to the shops down the hill. Though it's extremely close to the skiing slopes and is a ski-in and ski-out resort, it's slightly far from other restaurants. The buffet is great, with salmon and other types of sashimi. There are also...

Stayed last month for 6 nights on a ski trip. This hotel is set up for those who value skiing above all else. Every room has its own ski locker in a heated locker room with an entrance 30 yards from the main high speed quad at the base of the largest skiing area in Niseko. The buffet breakfast spread...

I had 3 days here last March. It's nothing luxurious or special but it seems to be the best location for skiing, right smack at the lifts. I enjoyed it. The first room they showed me though was very ordinary, facing the carpark with no sun. I was moved to a much lighter, sunnier room with a nice outlook to...

It was our first time in Niseko and this hotel is a mere 15 minute taxi ride from Kutchan train station. Train station is very bare-bone but there's an indoor taxi waiting "office" right across the street from the train station. You could take the public bus too if you'd like. and probably ski shuttles if you wanna do some...

We stayed here the last three nights of March for the last skiing trip of the season. Overall the hotel is quite good, although it does have some quirks. The pros: - The location is excellent and makes it a real ski-in ski-out experience, only one minute walk from the Welcome Center (where the bus from the airport arrives and...

As the title says, best thing about this hotel is the location right next to the Ace Quad #2. Onsen is nice enough, as is the pool. Rooms were basic, at the level one would expect in a business hotel in Japan, but comfortable enough.

We stayed here over the children's break from school (also overlapping with Chinese New Year). The whole resort was booked but we were lucky enough to get a very nice and clean apartment at Alpen Ridge rt next to the family Chair Lift so literally ski in / out. The SkiJapan team who manages the property are excellent and very...
