We stayed for one night as a Birthday celebration. From start to finish the whole experience was world class. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch on the terrace overlooking the magnificent vistas and the exhilarating ambience with the helicopter landings on the garden.Much to our delight we were upgraded to a suite. The room was huge with a large terrace and every mod con... Had a fabulous stay here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The setting is absolutely stunning, the lodge is sophisticated but comfortable, the food amazing, the staff professional and friendly. While the lodge was full during our stay, it still felt like we had the place to ourselves with lots of space and places to sit and relax on your own... More

First, the physical setting is spectacular. The dinner we had the first night watching the sunset over the mountains is probably one of the most memorable meals we have had--ever. I thought the food was consistently quite good as was the wine selection. Even the in room lunch I had (casual pasta and salad) was very well prepared. The rooms... More

This hotel is set in one of the most beautiful places I've visited. Add wonderful food and superb service. We only stayed for 3 days and would love to have stayed much longer. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

One should really be required to live a long and virtuous life to qualify for this resort. Fortunately life is not fair and we were able to spend 3 nights there. Charming attentive international staff, top quality food, glorious location.

This is probably the best lodge we have visited. We were looked after perfectly from arrival to departure with excellent cuisine,a good wine selection and great service from all members of the team. We are experienced travellers who know when things are done properly. No hesitation in recommending Blanket Bay.

From beginning to end, our stay at the stunning Blanket Bay was perfect. The overall design is perfectly done and lends to a casual, rustic, and relaxing stay. The guest rooms are large and beautifully appointed. The food was absolutely excellent. All what one would expect at this level property. However, what was incredibly impactful was the service. The team... More

We stayed for two WONDERFUL days at the end of November. We had one of the chalet rooms. To say it is luxuriously appointed would be an understatement. It is HUGE ! It is pictured on the hotel web site..................the pictures cannot do it justice. The view from the room/chalet is too beautiful for words. We had snow-capped mountains, crystal blue skies,... It takes very little to turn a good hotel into one which offers superlative perfection: Blanket Bay has an idyllic setting, it's layout and facilities are superb but it lacks that special ingredient - good communication - to make it superb. Small stupid mistakes were profoundly irritating: the already chilled bottle of Chardonnay left on our dining table in full... More

Located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu looking across to the Humboldt range, 45 minutes drive from Queenstown it has one of the most stunning locations on South Island full of birdlife and bunnies on the lawn early mornings and incredible sunsets. Our room was spacious, with an evocative faux fire that was easy to operate and a great bonus... More
