Kath was a good host who made efforts to meet our needs. This was typified by her making a special trip to return to us a pair of glasses which had been left behind. Breakfast was fine, although nothing more than could be expected at a B&B. A couple of minor things needed attention: heating seemed to go off rather...

This is a very good B&B indeed. Kath is a wonderful hostess who makes her guests feel extremely welcome in her home. We had the top floor room, with adjacent private bathroom and nice views over surrounding farmland. The room was light and airy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was a delight; Kath makes immaculate scrambled eggs and...

We only stayed for 1 night early in July 2016 as part of a mini tour of Snowdonia. The host (Kath) was very welcoming, even provided freshly cooked scones which were yummy!..with butter and jam. Room was clean and airy. Breakfast was a delight with plenty on offer and served up fresh and hot. We found a number of good dining...

Some people might find the house a little hard to find (as we did) although its only just down off the A5 there are no signs (apart from a No through Road sign) at the entrance to the single track lane, so you need to be on the look out. We had the top floor room which was quite roomy...

Quite possibly the most welcoming, relaxing retreat I've ever had the pleasure to stay at. The location is beautiful, peaceful but central to many walks, areas of natural beauty as well as more tourist based attractions around Chirk/ Llangollen. Rooms and facilities are spotless, comfy and cosy, and you could not find a more charming, attentive and helpful host as...

We loved our stay at Swn-y-Dwr (the Sound of Water). The house is in a quiet location near Chirk and a very short drive to Llangollen.. Our room was warm and comfortable and overlooked picturesque fields behind. Kath was a wonderful host, offering us much information of things to see and do in the area. Breakfast each morning was delicious....

The place is a kind of agrotourismo then b&b - at least some kind of mixture. Place is very quiet and located in short driving distance from beautiful town Llangollan which You must visit when You are in area. The Owner treats the place a hobby so You can not expect professional hotel service but rather relation like You would...

A warm welcome, a lovely, light and comfortable room with a wonderful view over the beautiful garden and brook leading to rolling fields. Kath did everything to make my short stay comfortable. Breakfast included artisan bread and 'proper' coffee. Whether travelling on business, leisure or walking Offa's Dyke - this is the place to stay!!! Thank you Kath - I'll...
