A quick overnight stay thankfully, but not impressed with location - sandwiched between two busy main roads. Heavy roadworks and traffic on the one side. Parking ok, receptionist pleasant enough, room was ok but lacked style or warmth. Nice to have garden centre next door for shopping. Probably won;t stay again :-(

For the price I paid, £56 b&b I expected much less, which made the saty even better. The staff were great, the hotel was basic but clean, comofrtable & had everything you need, including a decent tv & wifi. Better than Premier Inn at almost half the cost. I didn't eat in the pub next door for evening meal but...

Plenty of other hotels in the area with comfort beds, better amenities and much better food! Staff are good, but unless you are going for a chit chat, probably don't bother. If it wasn't for the staff it would be a one star review. All mattresses need replaced, they have replaced some but letting it get into that state in...

This was a very brief visit, as had my car locked in an adjacent car park. (Not the hotel car park) The receptionist was very helpful and very friendly, The hotel was spotless. A good place to stay if visiting Oswestry or the Chirk area.

We travel to Llangollen alot and this being just outside is quieter and within easy reach by car. A nice, clean, very friendly hotel. Has the little extras that make the difference as to the chain of hotels e.g. hospitality tray. Very comfortable spacious room, very competitive in price to the chain hotels e.g. Premier Inns etc. The buffet hot...

Liked the quirky rooms with upstairs bedroom. Excellent menu, plenty of choice. Wednesday and Sunday is a carvery. The staff were friendly, overall enjoyable experience. Have stayed numerous times with work. Plenty of places to visit nearby, Chirk aqueduct, Pontcysylltu, Chirk castle.

Room noisy by a very busy main road, if you need to leave early, make sure you order your take away breakfast before 8pm as the staff are unhelpful if you ask 10 minutes later, pitty they don't tell you that when you check in and just point at a poorly printed sign positioned at waist height, they have obviously...

We had a last minute weekend planned in north wales mountain biking. We booked this place on the drive up. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel looks nice from the outside, is pleasant inside and the staff are superb. We stayed in a family room which was very nice and spacious. The rooms haven't got the most...

The location of this hotel is its plus point. Great location for trips onward to wales. The rooms are slightly dated but clean and you can see they are trying to maintain it. Considering its by the A5 the rooms are quiet. Breakfast was a decent full english buffet. They need to spend a bit of time smartening up the...

The 3/5 mark states average but I'd say this place does Average well. On a par with any Travelodge or Premier Inn but perhaps the furnishings aren't quite up with their brand requirements. I'd happily stay again it's fine for a night or two. The staff in the hotel were super friendly and attentive something that perhaps needs to be...
