I rated this very good because it's absolutely beautiful, and they were very honest about the lack of certain amenities. Both the website and the reviews were very open about what the cabins are like - RUSTIC. I prefer a Marriott, and can do a nice Holiday Inn Express, so I wasn't to excited for the family reunion held here....

My brother and I stopped by this gem of a lodge while camping at Spirit Lake campground in August. We needed some paper towels, and it's about 17 miles to the nearest store across dirt roads, so we were hoping they had some in their little shop at the main lodge. No dice, but the better-half of the live-in couple...

Just as their website says, this is truly a place to "detox from technology." It is a beautiful getaway in a gorgeous location. Some of the cabins were built in 1937 and the newest ones were built in the 1950's. They have obviously seen better days, but the owners do a great job of keeping them clean. The wood burning...

Simply, Way Over Priced. $100 dollars for the larger cabin and $60 dollars for the smaller cabin. We rented two cabins, both were in the same shape, run down. The reservations are made on the internet and totally change when you arrive. They kicked out one There were cracks in the walls so the wind blew straight through. One inch gap...

These are primitive, tiny cabins in a beautiful setting. There is no electricity or water in the cabin itself. There is no insulation, and the gap around and under the door was 1-2".The wood stove kept it toasty, but there is a smoky smell when you use it. Our cabin was very dark inside and the battery operated lantern they provide...

Read the other reviews for good physical descriptions of the resort as they are accurate. I like the unique, and the authentic "the way it was" feel of this place was terrific in a world of Holiday Inn Express sameness. For that reason I am looking forward to my next visit, but be aware this may be too much authenticity...

These cabins are located on beautiful Spirit Lake on the edge of Flaming Gorge National Reservoir. BEWARE.......they have no running water, no electricity and no heat except a wood stove. They do have a room wih showers, a flush toilet, etc. They do give you a lantern and tons of quilts if you need. It's down a seven mile dirt...

We enjoyed this little gem. The people who run it are very pleasant and giving. The do anything and everything to make you feel "at home" The one girl even left matches on our door step because we had ran out and she hear us talking about it. Can't wait to go back!!!

Gem of a setting in the High Uintas, historic lodge & cabins. Staff charming. Somewhat funky (community bath mats???) but good value. Don't visit if you want everything perfect. I thought the food was horrible, but they clearly did their best! Next visit, I will do my own cooking on the cabin deck. I loved sleeping with the sound of...

We just got back from Spirit Lake lodge. We decided on the Powell cabin because our two dogs are jerks and need their own bed. It was comfortable and rustic with two queen beds as well as two twin beds in the loft/attic. The wood burning stove was especially nice since it snowed about 3" our first night there! (So...
