Iberostar Waves Bellevue boasts a pristine beachfront setting that captivates many guests, along with commendable cleanliness and a vivid atmosphere enriched with entertainment options. While the hotel's amenities, including a variety of food choices and activities, receive appreciation, some visitors suggest there's room for improvement in certain facilities and services. Although opinions on value are varied, with a few guests pointing out additional costs, the dedicated animation and reception teams often receive accolades for their friendliness. However, experiences with the bar and restaurant staff can be inconsistent, with instances of poor service. Room experiences also differ, from spacious and well-maintained to those needing updates and better care.

My wife and I stayed at the Iberostar Bellevue 2024 late September to early October and were lucky with superb weather 23-27C all week. We went with Jet2 Holidays and paid a small supplement for a Junior garden view suite wich was well worth it. The room was in the new Block 1 and was very spacious, clean and had a large balcony. The interior decor with polished tiled floors and stone walls was very stylish, and the rainfall power shower was great with plent of hot water at all times. The bed was very comfortable and the cleaners were in every day.

This is a large hotel of about 600 rooms but it never felt overcrowded even though it seemed almost at full capacity. The huge garden grounds are fantastic and very well kept. The pools are good, and there was no issue with getting a sunbed at any time of day.

One of the best things about our stay was the superb all inclusive package, especially the food with breakfast, lunch and evening meal all unlimited, and in addition a snack bar from 12.00 near the pool area with unlimited chips, crepes, ice cream, pasta, steak pizza and drinks etc. Overall the food was of excelent standard with a LOT of choice. I am vegetarian but there there was so much choice it was never an issue. I suggest checking out some of the online videos to get an idea. Alcoholic drinks were also freely available, from mulitple bars. Some were of the cheaper type but there were also some of the more famous branded drinks available with local beer, red, white and rose wine and cocktails all freely available within the all inclusive package.

There were quite a few younger children (under four years) there at the same time as us and I would say that this would be an excellent option for families. I could imagine my grandkids going crazy for free pizza, chips ice cream and cola all day long.

Location wise the hotel is actually in Beccici but right next door to the tunnel to Budva, and a leisurely stroll to Budva old town along the beachfront prommenade is about 25-30 minutes. It is easy to get a loal bus to Kotor for about 5 Euros from the Budva bus station.

The hotel operates a 20 Euro deposit scheme for beach towels and a 5 euro per day charge for towel gowns if you want them. For British guests there is no tea or coffee facitlies in the room, though they are freely available in the snack bar all day long.
A suggestion to the management would be to have a small jug of milk near the restaurant hot water machines for British guests making tea.

We found the staff, polite, engaging and effcient, they all seemed to be pleased to be working there.

This has to be one of the best value for money holidays we have had in quite a long time. I don't think you would regret staying at the Iberostar Bellvue.

I had read a couple of negative reviews but my family and I had a fantastic week at the hotel.

All of the staff were very friendly and really helpful.

The reception staff helped book taxis and provided useful advice about local services and activities (I would also say that everyone that we encountered in Budva was also very helpful and welcoming).

The bar staff are very hardworking and efficient, even at peak times we didn't have to wait long to be served. As others have mentioned there is a good selection of drinks including premium brands. We used the Piano Bar on a number of evenings as the cocktails are not premixed types. It was definitely worth €4 for a cocktail.

The food is great and there is literally something for everyone. We were there for the first full week in June and none of the restaurants were overcrowded. The waiters and waitresses were extremely effficient in cleaning down tables and setting upfor the next diners.

The pizzaria has a good selection of lunctime snacks and drinks throughout the day. There was a lovely waitress called Saria who was always smiling and was so attentitive to diners.

The location is fantastic and the views are stunning. There is a boat trip about 500m heading east along the beach from the hotel which lasts a couple of hours (we didn't fancy a whole day on a boat) and has a couple of stops, including at a bar for refreshments. The price for the trip was €12 per person, although this may change according to season.

The entertainment was okay and was great for young children.

We were in block 1 which is closer to the beach and away from where the entertainment takes place. I can see why some people might have an issue with noise in some of the other buildings.

One final thing that really impressed us was the care the staff took. My stepdaughter got sunburned and wasn't well enough to get to the restaurant for dinner. Her sister asked whether it would be possible for her to take some food to her room. The staff were extremely obliging, even offering to make arrangements to take the food to her room. The next morning the reception telephoned to check on my stepdaughter's well being which was very thoughtful.

Overall our experience was excellent. We didn't go at the height of the season and the hotel was busy but not overstretched. We would definitely visit again.

We flew into Tivat airport but it took about an hour to get to Becici due to the constant traffic jams/road works en-route. In the Summer we were told by a taxi driver that the roads on Montenegro sieze up. This is obviously not a critcism of the hotel but something future travellers may want to think about.

We were in block 1 which I think is the newest part of the hotel, there are 3 blocks in total each with their own reception. Our room was modern and the bathroom a high standard. The check staff were very efficient and spoken excellent English, just as all the staff did. All the staff we came into contact with with polite and friendly.

We went all inclusive and found there was food available from morning to midnight with the snack bar by the pool always having snacks available. The food in the restaurant was good but I think if you stayed more than a week it might be a bit "samey".

Drinks were self service at the restaurants and some of the wine on tap was a bit rough but drinkable. If you asked for drinks at one of the bars you never seem to have to wait long and they used recycleable plastic glasses to help the environment which I thought was really good. Following on from this recyclable theme, there was no bottles of water given out so taken plastic bottles with you and fill them up.

The only exception to this was the small cocktail type bar above the hotel shop (only open in the evenings) which gave you real glasses and the barman took pride in mixing and shaking cocktails.

Pool towels are available for 20 Euro deposit per towel, people did reserve sun loungers at silly times but there were plenty avialable on the grass areas. The loungers also has sun shades attchced to them which was nice.

There is entertainment every night from about 9:30 but the quality of it is variable.

Becici itslef is very small and there is nothing much to do there but you can get a bus to Budva for 1.5 Euro per person each way. A taxi there costs around 10 Euro and we took a boat taxi back to Becici one day for 10 Euro each which made a nice chnage from a crowded bus.

The hotel is located near Budva in a picturesque mountainous area. After a 10-minute taxi ride, you can visit the beach of St. Stephen's Island and take a dip in the purest waters of the Adriatic.
From the offered excursions be sure to take a sea trip by ship on Boko Bay of Kotor. It's worth seeing, we really enjoyed it.
The hotel's biggest plus-
is good food-diverse types of seafood, fish, meat, pastries, freshly squeezed juices for breakfast, very delicious ice cream for any taste that you can eat all day, but consider that in
restaurant no toothpicks and no cocktail pipes(bring) Very good cleaning
rooms, changed towels every day, the bathroom has everything you need-shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and even body cream. , but if you get a room with windows to the main entrance, be ready to wake up at 6 a.m. You will be awakened by a car loading bottles into the restaurant.🤷‍’’⸏Now of what did not yet like • The hotel beach turned out to be a charge, which you will not find information on the official website the cost of one sunbed 4 euros, 1 umbrella 4 euros, free sunbeds can only be found by the pool. The beach near the hotel is sandy, the sea is not very clean . There is one shop in the hotel door and one in the sun where you do not want to sit waiting for a taxi, and sometimes it took half an hour to wait, as Budva does not have Yandex taxi🤷‍’️
• Evening shows are interesting, but all monotonous, mostly dancing, live music once a week on weekends, and that boring, unrhythmic, mostly blues, so no one dances. Another unpleasant moment-to watch the show , you had to try to find a place where there are no smokers. There is no separate area for smokers, but smoke a lot, smoke even more women, despite the fact that there are children nearby (and there were a lot of them in the hotel) and in the heat, it is almost impossible to breathe such air and therefore if you do not find a suitable place, the evening may not be very pleasant.Mostly the rest were satisfied, looked at many beautiful places and tried not to spoil your mood due to minor troubles😁😉

I had a fantastic holiday but This hotel is okay it has pros and cons
Pros:
The views are amazing you get from the hotel
Right next to the beach
Food is nice in the restaurants one in newest building gives you option to sit on terrace which view is amazing and the staff in the restaurant are great.
We stayed in a junior suite and that was amazing the room was kept very clean the cleaners did a fantastic job and should be praised room was always spotless
Not far from budva
Soft drinks you can use the machines so no waiting in queue for the bar (but turn the one by the bar on before 10am otherwise means walking back to the buildings to get drinks makes no sense)
The people who do the gardens are amazing they don’t half keep it nice and tidy in all weathers
The entertainment team did a good job at getting people involved in the the games

Cons
I found that the swimming pool wasn’t cleaned often on three different days I found multiple plastic drink glasses at the bottom of the pool children play in that pool so should be cleaned more often and I seen other people getting them out to.
Around the pool the floors where often sticky attracted wasps the person I travelled with got stung
The pools our to small for the amount of people you have come 10am pool is so packed you can barely move
The pool is also in need of an urgent re vamp there’s tiles missing all over the place there’s no easy way in or out only the silver ladders ( one was coming of the wall) which is an outdated design and not disabled friendly at all you need a stairs that allow you to walk in or a slant so people can walk into the pool people who have disabilities I seen people struggling to get in and out and some unable to enter at all
The beds around the pool are gone by 7am but you can find plenty of beds in the surrounding gardening’s which is a few meters away from the pool
The lifts in the newer building are a joke there tiny I seen a women in a wheel chair having to to squish in to fit and there’s not enough if your wanting to use the third floor restaurant the lifts are often to busy to use.
When I arrived I’d been up since 1am by the time I arrived it’s was 3pm (local time) we got there just as three other buses dropped people off the queue for reception was out the door
And half way up the hotel. I got told which building to go to and wait for someone to show us to the building the lad assigned to do this then said to me where going to have to wait for all the line to clear before I can walk you over with the rest of the people in your building I asked can you point me to the building
And I’ll go myself because the queue is so big it could take another forty minutes to clear the queue and I wanted to rest for which the response was “your not allowed to walk over there yourself” iv paid for my room why am I not allowed to go there myself” then I asked again which building it was for them to ignore as he literally pretended to sort water out thankfully another man came and he showed us over (I’ve travelled thousands of miles I think I can make it across the garden to the building) if people want to go on there own let them.
The price to rent beds on the beach is a joke you said it’s run separately but it’s giving you a bad name.
Entertainment was okay same once’s if your there more than one week

This is the third time we've been to this hotel and it was as good as the first! We were greeted with hugs and handshakes which was lovely. We had a priority sea view room on the 5th floor with views to die for. The rooms are comfortable and in the Terrace it is carpeted making it very quiet. The bathrooms have soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in large dispensers. Unfortunately no kettles so no tea or coffee in the rooms but I knew this and took my own. There is a fridge. Constant hot water especially in the shower. Lovely white towels and bedding changed when you want.

The food is excellent with plenty of choice, it only becomes samey if you choose the same things! There are two restaurants that serve the same food, the Grand is quieter than the Terrace with less queues although the Terrace just seems a bit more upmarket. Then you have the pizzeria that serves more of a snack type food. There are numerous bars open from 10 am, some you have to pay extra for.

The pool and garden areas are kept beautifully clean and tidy, no need to put towels out early, plenty of sunbeds with mattresses and lots of areas to put them in depending where you like to sit.

A couple of areas that would make it even better for me would be not to make all the pancakes in one go and pile them on a plate making them soggy and cold. I wouldn't mind waiting for them straight off the hot plate! I also think I remember 3 or 4 table tennis tables whereas this year there were only 2. This meant on the odd day when it rained they were in high demand and people were waiting around for them! I think they weren't put out because when there was a conference they were all put away and then had to be got out again!

No team builders this year which was far better! There were conferences and this does have an impact on the restaurants and bars. The crowded restaurants could have been alleviated by opening the other sides when you first opened instead of waiting until it became like a cattlemarket! I can understand why you have them as they bring money in our of season.

Then there are the staff who work tirelessly, a special mention to Zvezdana, Alexandra, Nikola, the cleaner on the 5th floor and the chef who cooked my bacon crisply to name but a few! There are so many who go out of their way to make your holiday just perfect!

We love Iberostar Bellevue and will certainly be coming back! Thank you for making our holiday.

We stayed here for a week in a room with a spacious balcony in the middle building. Beautiful sea view. The room had ample space and was very clean, though the shower was quite dark and would benefit from additional lights. WiFi worked well in some parts of the hotel and in others not so much. Service was mostly great aside from one receptionist whose service attitude towards us and also some other guests we overheard was not up to par.

There are two main all inclusive restaurants (with the same dishes), one in each of the other two buildings, the Terrace one having surprisingly great views across the bay if you catch a table outside. Food was good and there was a few specialities thrown in on different nights (chocolate fountain, tapas table etc.) though some more variety would've been appreciated. Also highlighting the local dishes more would be a nice improvement. AI drinks were good quality across the board, the children's cocktails being a nice touch.

There's a couple of pools in the resort and sun loungers are included in the room price for those, but not for the beach - that's an extra charge. Toilets near the pool are quite crowded and not in great shape at times, so that could be one thing to try and improve a bit.

Parking in July is clearly scarce in Montenegro but we were able to find a spot in the hotel lots each night, which was a positive surprise. There were also parking attendants that helped us find the best spots and even help steer us in. Taxi to Budva old town was 7 euros and a boat taxi back to the pier by the hotel was 30 euros. Mind you, that pier is of the floating kind and moves around quite a bit so be careful if you decide to try that out!

We spent a week at the Bellevue hotel as a family with small children, a teenager and an elderly person. The hotel has been generally wonderful, highlighting in particular the large and well-kept gardens (we found it to have the most garden space of all the hotels in the area) and the varied facilities: outdoor pools, very notable indoor pool, ping-pong area pong, tennis courts. Even a small shop with drinks and pool stuff. It really offers services for a wide age segment. The varied and correct level night shows fulfill the objective of entertaining, although the location of the stage can disturb the closest rooms, although it ends relatively soon. The guests were generally very good, despite the hotel being full there was no noise or shouting, even at the pool, a very calm family atmosphere. The wonderful buffet, the quality and variety, the cheeses, bread options, excellent. I would only put a but to the fact that there is no yogurt at lunch or dinner, and with children it is missed. At the level of facilities, I think there is a lack of elevators, there being three blocks of rooms with several floors, in our block, with 6 floors, there was only one elevator. We also lacked "cozy" spaces in the interiors, beyond the reception areas, with sofas and armchairs where you can rest or read a book. Or maybe a large interior living room. The issue of sunbeds at the pool should be regulated: many clients place their towel at 8 in the morning to "reserve" and go to breakfast, returning much later, so that there are almost never sunbeds available. There is a little sign but obviously no one pays attention and the hotel does not enforce it. Finally, I think there is little pedagogy of food waste: you see overflowing plates left untouched on the tables, there should be posters reminding the importance of serving in moderation and appealing to the conscience of customers. The same with the typical towel sign in the bathrooms, it is not even contemplated that a towel can be used for several days.
Despite these aspects, we had a great family stay and we would really repeat the experience.

Putting excellence and incredible on this club would be a trick!
Beautifully maintained hotel, and almost non-existent animation. Very mixed weather also for the season.
Room 3112: spacious, well laid out, but why was the parquet flooring different in some places? damaged, like water damage? I confirm that this room takes water when there are storms as we lived, the balcony becomes an outdoor shower tray and pours into the room under the parquet! And we sponge with towels to avoid getting our feet wet! Thanks to the cleaning team for replacing the towels every day!
When it rains terribly, there is only the main bar, and no seats or land, because everything is outside! queue to have a drink and we come back wet! we can not design a complex like this without imagining making shelters or lounges so that people can have an aperitif in the dry!
As for bar and restaurant, nothing to say, they all ensured, even if the schedules are respected, to be at the table and put out of a restaurant at 9:30 pm because they closed shock me a little, being used to various other clubs.
The beach, well... there are deckchairs for €22.
The advice I could give is to take euros because everything is expensive there, and especially CB fees, moreover, they refuse CB in some places.
I will conclude by apologizing for the lateness of this comment, and I will return to Iberostar but not Montenegro.

I went with a friend and we had amazing time.

GREAT
Staff - amazingly friendly and helpful. Ksenija at the front desk was so lovely and helpful. Because we had to leave early and I could not return the towel she offered to return for us so that we can get our money back. She called us cabs, helped with luggage and answered all of our million questions. We did not know how to turn the AC on and someone came in minutes to help with that as well as with the safe I accidentally locked.
Food - I am vegan and the main chef, Miodrag, made sure there was a vegan section plus he made me some extra stuff when I asked. So did his sous chefs. I asked for cheeseless pizza and I was impressed to see the pizza person made sure cutting equipment was cleaned to make sure there was no cheese on it. Fruit was the best I had in years. My friend who is not vegan also loved the food she ate. I have no idea what is the complaint about food - it was fresh and tasty.
Drinks - someone complained about no brand soda - I appreciated that it was not brand names I have been avoiding.
Cleanliness - the room was very clean. Teodora, who cleaned our room was super nice. The day we arrived there were some leaves on the balcony and when we mentioned it they sent someone immediately to clean it. Because I colored my hair I accidentally stained the pillow only to find a clean pillowcase the next morning.
Grounds - beautiful trees and flowers everywhere. Plenty of places to sit and lounge around. The pools seemed full but I am not sure why people come to the sea to spend time in a pool.
Entertainment - something else every night. Some I liked more than others but had fun every night.
The beach is 2 min away and I could go for a swim and come back several times a day. It was not crowded most of the time so I could swim and not bump into people.
The view from our room was great and even though we did not have sea view room we could see the sea.
I am sure I am forgetting something but overall I was happy.

Suggestions
I guess if I was to suggest something, maybe coffee in the room but it was not too far to walk to get some. Maybe some water fountains on each floor but again not a big deal. I also wish the beach had more space for towels but that seems how the town is organized.

I hope to come back and am so happy my friend recommended this place.
