Hotel is pleasant, the staff is nice, polite and smiling, the Spa is very good and the breakfast is excellent (provided you do not arrive after 9:30, because not all dishes are renewed). The 2 valets help you with your luggage but they do not take care of parking the car in the hotel parking lot 150 meters away.
Our junior suite, No. 28, at the 5* Relais et Châteaux, is very dark, you cannot stay there without artificial light and as we learned when paying the bill it is by far not the best of the junior suites in the hotel (€650 per night). We are dismayed as we have booked 7 nights since February and have been allocated the poorest junior suite.
The room service was not the best. On arrival Friday afternoon we reported that the safe was broken, it was repaired 4 days later. Housekeeping forgot the bath mat one day, the dishcloths another day, a stained sheet was not replaced and so on.
The 3*** GASTRONOMIC restaurant really did not keep its promise. Once seated and the drinks ordered (the bottle of champagne ordered was no longer available, replace by equivalent), the service was at full speed. Every 10 minutes they bring us the dishes. We intervened at the end of the 4th course by pointing out that we dine there for pleasure and not to eat in a hurry. Unfortunately this spoiled our dinner and we refrained from booking another dinner at the gourmet restaurant. The presence of Mr. Georges Blanc in the restaurant did not erase this disappointment. The dishes were good but the dish was missing which becomes unforgettable.
The ANCIENNE AUBERGE restaurant is good and correct, although some dishes are very salty

Our stay was perfect from the moment we entered the hotel until we left. Smiling and quick reception at the reception (private parking at the back of the hotel had been indicated when booking) before being taken to our well-equipped and tastefully furnished room. Extraordinary meal at the gourmet restaurant. Staff present and attentive without being rushed, who always took the time to communicate with us on all subjects that could interest us, detailed presentation of each dish, wise advice from the sommelier. All simply and without any artifice. Inventive dishes and always just cooked (mullet was a pure delight, oyster in appetizers a total and welcome surprise). Sauces that enhanced the products of the land and sea (the lobster was superb....) rather than making them invisible. Always fair agreements. Delicious desserts and sweets. Not to mention hotel decoration, swimming pool, spa, garden and vegetable garden, White Village with dry stone facades in the pretty Bressan style, pictures of celebrities now disappeared for some, ...
One of our sons who, like us, enjoys the pleasures of the mouth asked us what was the difference between a 2* and a 3* and we told him “It’s going from a superb and excellent establishment to an exceptional one.” This was the case for the hotel but also and especially for the restaurant that amazed us throughout the meal. Thank you to Monsieur Blanc and his team... and see you soon!
The meal was simply exceptional. We chose the Tastes of the Moment menu. Each dish, finely crafted, is an ode to fine dining, revealing sublime flavors and surprising associations. You can feel the passion and mastery of the Chef, who was particularly attentive, even taking the time to personalize a little attention for my son, on the occasion of his birthday.
For the accompaniment, our choice was a Premium Food and Wine Accord, the sommelier demonstrated his great passion for this world and his explanations about the great wines that were served to us helped to develop an unforgettable taste journey.
The service is impeccable. Discreet but attentive, the staff ensures with elegance and kindness that the experience is as pleasant as possible, in an atmosphere of elegance and refinement.
To extend the gastronomic experience, I highly recommend visiting the sumptuous winery. We were led there by the sommelier who accompanied us throughout this memorable evening.
We also strongly recommend the unique experience we had the pleasure of sharing with Chef Frédéric Blanc in the kitchens of the Restaurant and surrounded by the brigade at work for the lunch service. I will not reveal some details, they must remain a surprise if you decide to live the experience. THE cooking class during which, with humor and kindness, we received the secrets of the Chef for the preparation of the chicken of Bresse with cream, the secrets of the vonassian Pancakes and finally the sumptuous Sauce Marinière topping a fillet of sea bass delicately baked.
The Gastronomic Restaurant Georges Blanc is in my opinion the unmissable destination for those looking for the pinnacle of world gastronomy. We will keep an unforgettable memory and will return without hesitation.
Thank you so much.
The spacious room, the size of the bed and its comfort as well as the loggia with its table. The breakfast is royal with fresh fruit, a cook who can make you scrambled eggs, omelettes or pancakes.
The indoor swimming pool is magnificent with its spa surrounded by a very pretty garden.
The staff is very helpful.
However, several downsides should be noted: no reception on site for the Les Saules hotel, you have to go to G. Blanc 250m away; Breakfast is also not on site: you have to travel 300 m to reach another establishment and when it rains it is not practical. The bathroom is small and not very functional: no surface to put your toiletry bag, no stool or coat hook. Low-end toilet paper for such an establishment and aging toilets.
No possibility of having breakfast in the room and no kettle available in the room. The price of the tax for the dog is exaggerated: we paid €50 for 2 nights (the bowl in the room on arrival is expensive!).
The indoor swimming pool, very beautiful but very noisy with overflowing water and shallow.

Despite the quality of the room service (being late arrivals) , fare too expensive vs quality of facilities
The SPA was well equipped and we spent a pleasant time there. The massages were perfect even if the time allocated was less than the performance time sold (50 minutes instead of one hour for mine)
Regarding the gourmet restaurant 3* Michelin, we were generally satisfied even if we have some remarks. If the dishes served were exceptional as we would expect for a restaurant of this fame, we were disappointed with the customer experience. Indeed, we are surprised that we have not been offered a dedication of Mr. BLANC as many customers have benefited from it. The service even if it was of quality seemed very impersonal to us. We would have liked more advice on tasting the dishes. We would also have appreciated more explanations about the exceptional wines served. Some awkwardness should have been avoided:
• Place butters and olive oil in a place unreachable to my wife.
• Don't offer us cheese. Usually, in the gourmet restaurants we went to, cheese was systematically offered (with supplement).
• Do not wait until we finish our glasses of wine before offering to enjoy a hot drink at the salon.
These negative feelings did not allow us to live the expected experience sought and that is a bit of a shame.

Four days in Heaven!

Nothing to say about the Inn, it was excellent as usual!
On the other hand, regarding the room....it deserves a little renovation. The bathroom is outdated, no mini-bar (even though it is indicated in the room description), no bottle of water available.
In addition, the room overlooks the bakery which from 5 a.m. goes back and forth with metal carts in the street....thanks for the lie-in on Sunday morning.....
I indicated this at reception when paying, .....the person just chuckled....ok....so apparently it's normal...
Breakfast at EUR 37.-, we knew we went there, but it's still quite exaggerated. The buffet is very beautiful but I have been to other hotels where it was just as beautiful but much cheaper....you probably have to pay the name.
In summary, next time I will go to eat but I will sleep elsewhere.
