Here now. TV didnt work. Called owner (no one at office in winter) and she switched rooms. No TV in that one either so back to first room. After unpacking we find it very minimal heat, smoke detector uninstalled with no battery(mmm safe), deadbolt wouldn't lock( mmm secure too) shreddies on the floor, dirty kleenex on floor beside the bed...

We have stayed there summer and winter and have had very good experiences. Unfortunately the restaurant is not open in the winter ( not enough business ) but in summer it is a very quaint diner with a down home feel

We were in the area for a sporting event with our daughter and needed a room for one night, and possibly a second depending if our team won or lost on the first day. The staff there informed us to just let us know by noon on the following day if we required the second night. Our team lost, we...

Stayed here for one night while on a geocaching trip to Pugwash. The room was clean and everything worked perfectly, it even had a fridge and microwave. The rooms are right next to the highway and there is a bit of road noise, but not too bad. The room did not have a desk of any kind, just one chair,...

Rooms were very clean but right on the road and noise from trucks was pretty annoying.Restaurant was closed for the season and we were the only people staying there. No one on premises and if there was a problem had to call someone and wait for them to respond.

We've actually been to this motel/inn twice and have had a great experience both times. The first time was right after the renovations in 2013 and the second time in the summer of 2015. Both times the rooms were very clean and the service very friendly. This inn is a great option if you're looking for a place to stay...

I highly recommend the Hillcrest View Inn. My family and I stayed in the little cottage that they have. It was lovely. Beautifully decorated and furnished....and spotless. Nothing fancy but very functional and cozy. The staff were great and very friendly..they went out of their way to make you feel welcome. I cannot say enough good things about the restaurant....

The Hillcrest Inn is a little close to a main road in Pugwash, but there is a lot of lovely countryside nearby and easy walking (and 4-wheeler) trails right beside the inn. The room was very standard, but it is the restaurant that makes you want to stay longer. My husband swears their seafood chowder was the best of our...

We ate there this afternoon - very clean, friendly and the most amazing food!! I had the pan seared haddock which was cooked perfectly and the garlic smashed potatoes were to die for. Others had deep fried haddock and fries as well as the smoked pork chops. We will definitely be back very soon!!!

We were daytripping along the north shore, between Pictou and the bridge back over to PEI, and wanted a good spot to stop for dinner. I found Hillcrest View Inn and Restaurant on Trip Advisor and thought we would give it a try. Very pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was fresh, clean and the staff were friendly. Amongst our group we...
