Only for those who don't mind sitting in a taxi for 2+ hours each way to spend some time in the woods and rolling hills. Several waterfalls - Wachirathan and Mae Klang - nice to view along the way. Crisp clean air at the peak of Doi Inthanon 10 C, at 2,565 meters.

Doi Inthanon is the highest point in Thailand and It is not far from Chiang Mai city. You can hire a taxi (~2500 baht from 9AM to 4PM) or catch a truck(it is cheaper ~500 bath) to get there. I think this is the most beautiful point in the North of Thailand and scenery is so wonderful. Food is quite...

Not many people know that Thailand does have places for Motor homes or RV! Clean and safe and convenient! The weather is very clean and cool air. What a retreat! Great for camping in tents too! The road to waterfall maybe too small for a large vehicle.

Sunrise at Doi Inthanon is spectacular. Get there early as it is a busy place but well worth the effort. Did I mention it's cold up here about the clouds so wear a little more than you would in Chiang Mai. The nature walk is beautiful and I recommend it to anyone. It is a easy 2.5 km with a...

We went on a hiking tour to the park today. The tour guides were great. We first stopped at an amazing waterfall before making our way to the start of a hiking trail. With a local guide we took our time walking through the bush. The guide provided lots of information about different tree medicines and foods, and we were...

We used a company ("Untouchedthailand") that had great reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed! We were picked up at our hotel by Pukky and her husband! English was great , we customized to tour as it was just the 2 of us! The waterfalls , trekking though the park ( highest point in Thailand!) , lunch and a...

This walk had stunning views! Well worth the visit. We had a guide but he didn't seem to say anything different from the little boards placed all around. We would probably just get one of the buses up and walks the straight route ourselves if we were to do it again. It's not as cold as everyone kept on warning,...

Booked a day tour from Chiangmai to Doi Inthanon National Park. I couldn't say the tour operator I chose was good as the guide was a bit lazy that not walking with us most of the time. The guide for the 2 hours trekking was nice but she didn't speak any English at all which I booked an English tour....

The royal pagodas and their gardens were stunning! It's really cold up there though (6 degrees) and visibility wasn't very good today. There are a couple of waterfalls in the national park which are worthwhile seeing. The coffee tribe aspect wasn't very good but you get to see the agriculture and farm animals running around the small village. I got...
