Can Only Say, "Not Good." Not Very Welcoming, Outside Shabby & Tired Looking. Across the road from a graveyard with a church & loud bells there too. No real parking. Food ok. Seems to be run by a strange man in shorts, maybe it's his first venture into the hospitality industry. Needs To Try Harder I'd say.

This accomodation was recommended to me by family who had stayed there in the past. It did not quite live up to expectations but clean rooms and good food despite the chef being off sick. The accomodation is limited with more double beds than singles which is not ideal for walkers who are in single sex groups and this provides... More

I stayed in Room 4 on the night of 27th Feb as I was attending Park Foot's Fun Day as winner of Towergate's Great British Park Off the next day. I arrived quite late after travelling from South Wales, yet the welcome was very warm and made to feel I was of no inconvenience. I slept very well in a... More

We stayed for one night while doing our coast to coast walk. We arrived cold and wet after a days walking in the snow and were very pleased with the pub & accommodation. Our wet coats and boots were taken away and dried for us while we had a great meal by the open fire in the pub. Would definitely... More

When you enter your room and find ear plugs you do wonder.. But no worries, its for the church clock opposite. Got to say never heard them during the night. The heavy curtains act really well as sound proofing. The rooms are warm and comfortable, breakfast is good. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone. Oh one thing I... More

Booked in October for Wedding in May. In Advance for Wedding at Knipe Hall, read the reviews and location seemed spot on. If only we had waited, what a big disappointed. As Wedding was due to start at 3pm, I checked with C and M Inn to be told 3pm was the earliest, but could try calling. First disappointment. Tried... More

Just returned from a two day break after attending a friends wedding at Knipe Hall. Lovely room, with stand alone bath in the ensuite. Didn't do any walking whilst we were there but I can imagine that it would be lovely, climbing onto a nice warm bath after a good walk. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. With real ale on tap... Lovely welcoming staff, very clean and comfortable rooms with beautiful views of the church and grounds, situated opposite. Very picturesque. The food in the pub was superb, no complaints at all. The only let down was the breakfast was only served between 8-9am. My partner and I had been travelling most of the day so an early night and lie... More
