Our second time staying at the hotel, this time to celebrate our anniversary. We were blessed with beautiful weather which shows off the hotel and location at its very best. Stayed in the suite which gave us the extra sitting area. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel.

This has to get one of the best finds ever for a quiet and relaxed break, the rooms are amazing with views of Haweswater reservoir and surrounding hills, very little traffic as the hotel is the only building on this part of the road. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant and the restaurant serves up top notch meals, we...

Haweswater is far from the busy areas of the Lake District and as such is is quiet and peaceful. Haweswater is a reservoir built in the 1930's. The Hotel was built in 1937 as part of the Haweswater Dam project and was a modernist / art deco masterpiece. The current owners are restoring the hotel. Generally we loved the hotel....

We have just arrived back home after a fantastic stay at this hotel for a family wedding. What a truly amazing hotel this is..... beautiful setting and away from everything, watch the red squirrels at breakfast was delightful. The staff and management worked tirelessly the whole weekend to make the wedding of Rose and Ray amazing. We wouldn't hesitate to...

I booked the Haweswater Hotel for my husbands 40th. I wanted a tranquil location, next to water with stylish rooms/boutique feel that were dog friendly, it was surprisingly hard to find stylish rooms with this criteria in the Lakes but what a gem the Haweswater truly is. We fell in love with this hotel instantly, the location is breathtaking its...

What a hidden Art Deco gem overlooking the reservoir. A very warm welcome from Jess who also served drinks which we enjoyed on the front terrace above the road whilst being entertained by a number of red squirrels. Hotel currently updating the rear-facing rooms, having already completed those at the front. The cosy and comfortable interior of this delightful hotel...

Wow...we chose this hotel from the positive reviews on TA for my birthday treat whilst visiting Cumbria, we couldn't have found a more wonderful place to stay, what a beautiful hotel Haweswater is, a secluded hotel set on the eastern shore of Haweswater Reservoir, with only one road in this is the only building in this entire valley, thus making...

Lovely looking hotel with amazing views! Everything about our stay was brilliant and all staff were very helpful and friendly, especially with our dog who was allowed in the bar area and also in our room. We had evening meals both nights which were really nice, especially the beef + ale pie! Really enjoyed the breakfast too and being able...

Stayed here 3 nights in April and wished we had more time to linger here. Chose Haweswater Hotel because of reviews, wanted to see red squirrels, and seemed to be a chance to relax on our 2 week whirlwind vacation. But there is so much to see and do in the area that relaxing never really happened. Lots of areas...

I am in agreement with all the positive reviews of this lovely hotel . It is a magical place, the remote location, the abundance of wild life , the stunning views all add to the tranquil & serene atmosphere . We stayed one night , thinking it would be too remote for 2 nights , but I wish I had...
