Thank you so much for your beautiful accommodation. We stayed in the Vineyard Retreat. Everything was so comfortable and the atmosphere of the place so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck looking over the vineyards and watching the kangaroos and reading. The last night put on the most magnificent sunset which was so beautiful. The Easter bunny treat was so delicious and very thoughtful also. Went down very well!
Thank you also for the nice addition of the bottles of lovely wine that we could imbibe and pay for later. A very nice gesture. The cottage is so well stocked with everything you need to prepare food and platters to have with our afternoon drinks. Beds are extremely comfortable, showers excellent and the hand wash and body wash in the bathrooms smelt so divine! This is the perfect place for two couples as you each have an ensuite. We woke up one morning to see a myriad of hot air balloons over the misty valley which was another highlight to our stay. We definitely plan to return again.

Stayed for 5 nights, unfortunately bad weather but still an enjoyable stay. We needed a pet friendly accommodation & was lucky to find this gem. Not fenced so our little escape artist had to stay on lead (long horse lead) which was lucky as I am sure he would have chased the kangaroos that came to visit us every afternoon. Morning coffee on the deck, weather permitting, was very relaxing and peaceful whilst watching the balloons in the distance.

We stayed at the Vineyard Retreat. This place is simply the best accommodation we ever stayed in anywhere in Australia. Truly unique! The views are amazing with vineyards, lakes, Mount Pleasant at the background and Australian wildlife right at the backyard of the accommodation.
The cottage is set with top end furniture with king size very comfortable beds, indoor and outdoors sitting areas and dinner tables. The kitchen had everything we needed. Very clean. We hope to return to this place again.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Wattle Spa cottage and from the amazing communication before we arrive to the minute we walked in the door with the soft music and luxe scent we knew we were in for a great stay. So much more beautiful than the photos and the serenity was out of this world. The owners have done an amazing job providing all amenities and super luxe interior design to make you feel like youre staying somewhere very special and not lacking for anything. The area has a fantastic F&B/winery offering and has opened our eyes to a section of the Hunter we'd previously not explored. The spa and fire pit are lovely touches and the dozens of kangaroos and birds coming by to check out what you are doing is beyond lovely. Tucked away from the road and whisper quiet - feels a million miles away from Sydney's rat race and such a great break. It was hard to leave as enjoying some wine and cheese on the huge back deck with views over the vineyards to the mountains was amazing - with the most incredible sunsets! We are already planning a return trip.

My husband and I stayed at the Sunset Retreat. It was perfect for a peaceful getaway and just beautiful with everything you could need if you planned to just stay in. It was immaculately clean and the little touches like scented candles were appreciated. The indoor fire was a bonus. We had lunch at Lillianos which was a 2 min drive or you could walk on a nice day. Overall I would definitely recommend Sunset Retreat.

We stayed at the Vineyard Retreat for three nights and we were not disappointed. Everything was beautifully presented, kitchen well stocked with breakfast provisions, comfortable beds and thoughtful touches throughout, We woke each morning to a view of vineyards and kangaroos with joeys only a few metres away. After a day out winetasting and exploring we couldn't wait to get back to the cabin to get cozy in front of the fire. A truly impressive destination and one that we will be returning to when next we visit the Hunter.

Blackwattle Luxury Retreats in Lovedale in the Hunter Valley is a piece of paradise. This place is beautiful. Very tranquil, calm and super relaxing. It feels like you are the only people on the property - very special spot. We stayed in the Sunset Retreat Villa and we had the perfect location to enjoy the amazing sunsets. We recently spent three nights in the Vineyard Retreat.
We were sent an email with clear instructions on where to locate the key and a list of the amenities. The cabin was very clean, well maintained, comfortable furniture and very private. The kitchen is fully functional with everything you would have at home. The back deck was a good size with two hammocks, I would have liked a daybed on the deck for an afternoon snooze (we cannot have everything. ) Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your enquiry. The nearest shopping centre to Blackwattle Estate is Cessnock CBD which is about 15 minutes drive. Our Retreats are on one level however there are a few steps up to the deck and entry doors so no lifts are required.
