From the point of first contact to the day of arrival we were so impressed. We were welcomed with a fridge full of necessities, which was fantastic, because driving from the central coast after work - we were buggered, didn't want to stop to pick up basics - so the fridge full was fantastic! We found the cottage quite easily,... More

Set at the end of a country lane in a fam-like environment are this collection of self-contained cottages offering a break away from the vineyards. Inside the rustic cottages you are not only surrounded by yesteryear memorabilia but also provided with modern amenities as there is a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, a large enough fridge and a... Our family spent 3 nights here during the recent school holidays. We were joined by another family - so we had the large cottage that slept 13. The cottage had plenty of space for our group of 11, including a large living room (plenty of sofas) and kitchen and 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one an ensuite). The bedrooms were... More

We were very impressed by cottage number 5, with its broad verandah looking out onto the surrounding bush in this quiet corner of the Hunter Valley. A well-stocked fridge and wood supply greets you on arrival: the owners are lurking somewhere in the background, but it would have been nice to meet them too, having come all the way from... More

Hi ... Thanks for the feedback. Sorry to have missed you . It`s a fine line between intruding & being friendly so we err on the side of caution . Being next to the National Park possums sometimes play on a cottage roof. Apologies for the WIFi. Between Telstra & the NBN we have been disconnected & only have a... More

Stayed with a group of friends for 2 nights. The cottage was large and well-furnished with a cosy wood fire and heater that kept us comfortable during the cold nights. Very quiet and peaceful (although also out of phone reception range). Thoughtful touches such as breakfast ingredients in the fridge (bacon, eggs, bread, milk, cereal) were well appreciated! Highly recommend.

My hubby and i stayed here for our wedding anniversary for 3 nights. Lovely rustic cabins that give you that far away from everyone feel without actually being far away from everyone lol. We didn't have to talk to anyone the whole time we were there! Nice and close to lots of winery's and restaurants. Definitely rustic though so if... More

The cottage was attractive, private and very well appointed. Rosie and Paul provided a generous breakfast hamper and all sorts of thoughtful little inclusions that made our visit perfect. We only stayed a couple of nights but could easily have stayed longer to play a few holes at the 'Royal Lovedale Golf Course', walk in the National Park or visit... More

Love dale cottages is a great place for a budget Hunter weekend escape. Not going to suit those looking for the 5 star experience but also not priced in that league. We found it to be a great location to explore the vineyards and very private. Cottage facilities were adequate if a bit dated, the rustic feel suited us fine.... More

Really enjoyed the cottages. They were rustic and quirky also clean and well equipped. Our kids loved roaming around deciding between tennis, cricket, golf or swimming. Plenty of space for them (and the chooks and roosters!). Cabins were private. Loved the fireplace and better still chopped wood was delivered daily. Breakfast hamper was very generous.
