Lilies Luxury Retreats is in Lovedale, the heart of the Hunter Valley of NSW. The Luxury Lakeside retreat features two master spa suites with large, private bathrooms featuring a two person spa bath. Lilies Lakeside is cantilevered over a beautiful lake with views across farmland to the Brokenback Mountain Range. This retreat can also accommodation one couple, we simply close off the other master suite. Luxury Poolside is a one bedroom retreat with its own, exclusive-use, inground swimming pool with views across the neighbouring vineyards. The bathroom is modern, elegant and restful with and features a Zen deep-soak bath. Both retreats have been designed to capture light, views and the beauty of the natural environment. The retreats are private, sophisticated and elegant with a relaxed vibe. Set amongst some of the finest vineyards and restaurants Australia has to offer, Lilies Luxury Retreats is a rare slice of heaven in the Hunter. Both retreats have been created for adults only, sorry but we are unable to accommodation children, infants or babies.

We stayed at Lilies Lakehouse for 6nights for our honeymoon. WOW! It is an absolute paradise, the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. All of the beautiful touches make it even better, Barbara really goes above and beyond to make sure your every need is catered to. The gourmet breakfast hamper is unbelievable, the fridge and pantry is filled with so many goodies, we had the romance package as well that Barbara organised and it was so special, a big cheese platter and bottle of champagne and rose petals on the bed. Most days we didn’t want to leave the amazing house that is positioned over a big pond and so peaceful, the balcony surrounds the house and there is somewhere special to sit on every side with so many views of different things. We loved sitting out watching the sunsets, looking at the kangaroos and having barbecues overlooking the water. On the cold nights we watched all the Netflix we could in front of the beautiful wood fireplace. On days we wanted to adventure there is so much to do, we went for a stroll next door through a vineyard to the smoke house for a beautiful lunch and another day Barbra planed a helicopter ride that picked us up, took us to lunch and brought us home, it was absolutely magical. If your considering staying at Lilies, do it, it’s the most peaceful beautiful place and we can’t wait to visit again! Thank you again Barbra.

Lilies was a perfect spot for a special occasion. It was extremely well-equipped with everything you could need right down to different jams for your three choices of toast! The house was spacious and luxurious and immaculately clean. It was very private with no-one else close by. A convenient distance to all the Pokolbin attractions but you will need your own car. It was high end in price but worth it for something special.

Lilies is the perfect destination getaway! Everything is top notch. All furniture is new and such good quality! the bathroom was so beautiful with heated flooring and 2 sink basins. The bedroom is so spacious and comfortable! Not to mention the absolutely amazing kitchen and the fridge filled with our goodies for brekkie! overall 5/5. Loved the location as well as its a 10 minute from most locations.

What’s not to love about Lilies! A beautiful lakeside retreat. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you need. After a day of eating in the Hunter the breakfast staples were perfect for dinner. Everything is so comfortable and clean. Barbara is so knowledgeable of the local area and a fabulous host.

We stayed at Lilies Lakeside with some friends. The property was perfect in every way. It was clean, comfortable and sitting the most beautiful grounds. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxed stay. I would highly recommend this place to stay if you are wanting some luxury in the Hunter.

Lilies Lu Urdu Retreat is everything that its name suggests - it is subtly luxurious in a setting that is so peaceful it takes your breath away. Set in the Hunter Valley it overlooks a vineyard and is on the doorstep of all the Valley offers or you can just retreat and thoroughly enjoy the peace and quiet - taking an occasional, private dip to keep you cool.

Lilies Lakeside is a modern and luxuriously appointed cabin in a private and scenic setting. The list of "extras" is endless, making it easy just to stay at the cabin, having the vineyards of the Hunter on your doorstep is a bonus! It is pretty well a perfect cabin for two couples to share.

I have to agree that it is perfect for couples - so much space to spread out and with both master spa suites exactly the same there is no "flipping of the coin" on who gets the "big" room as they are both huge! This is an outstanding accommodation so private and there’s two houses to choose from. I’ve been here twice now and will be returning. My first time was at Lakeside and recently at poolside. Which one was my favourite? They both are 🙂. Depending if you would like to swim in your very own private pool then poolside might be for you. Lakeside has two bedrooms. But if you want Lakeside and there’s just the two of you no worries they just lock one bedroom down. I have plenty of great pictures so which ones to choose from is hard. So I hope you’s enjoy the ones I picked out. You have everything you want including a hamper with eggs,bacon sausages, orange juice,yogurt and lots more for your stay. If you want a romantic package then they will be only to happy to arrange this for you. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful. Your hosts are so helpful if you need anything or want to enquire about helicopters rides. Check out their specials on their website. It’s very ,very clean a credit to the cleaner. The view is just amazing and peaceful. To top it off there’s a vineyard right next door that you can just take a short cut through the gates walk in and there you are, a cafe enjoy a coffee or maybe a delicious lunch. They even have cooking classes if interested. The Hunter Valley Gardens are to your right as you go out of the driveway and not far at all.

We've just spent 3 nights at the Poolside Retreat at Lilies. . The accommodation is absolutely perfect. It's a large, one bedroom villa with plenty of living space, a beautiful kitchen, luxurious bathroom, great indoor fireplace, huge deck plus a wonderful pool. The villa's beautifully furnished with lots of special touches. The kitchen's equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook up a storm.
The entire villa is spotlessly clean and still looks brand new. It would have to be the cleanest accommodation we've stayed in (and we regularly stay in some of the best 5 star hotels in Australia).
Poolside is set in immaculately landscaped grounds, overlooking neighbouring vineyards. The views from every room, as well as from the deck and pool are amazing. Watching the sunrise from the front deck is a wonderful start to the day.
The amount of food supplied is fabulous. It gives a new meaning to the term 'gourmet breakfast hamper'. The quality and freshness (of the food) is spot on. Barbara, the retreat owner, really has thought of everything.
Although we stayed in early May, the weather was warm enough for us to spend time in the beautiful pool. We were lucky to have sunny days for our entire stay.
We even received a few visits from a beautiful puppy named Coco.
Overall, our stay at Lilies was perfect. Spending our days lazing by the pool, on the deck or relaxing inside. Spending our nights curled up on the lounge with a good book in front of the fire. It was everything we hoped it would be.
Lilies looks wonderful on the website, however, you don't realise just how special it is until you're there. It's absolutely perfect.
A big thank you to the lovely owner Barbara for all the hard work she must put into this amazing place.

Lillies Luxury Retreat is a large private property that has 2 individual villas. It is located in Lovedale not far from fishes and leaves restaurant. We booked the Poolside Villa as we wanted to enjoy the outdoors and relax in the pool as it was summer. We travel and stay in the Hunter Valley about 3 times a year and stay at various Villas in Pokolbin and Lovedale. This villa was new for us so we didn't know what to expect.
On arrival we were instantly amazed by the size of the villa and how lovely the pool looked on a warm sunny day. With vines on 2 sides of the property and manicured gardens on the other the location and outlook is perfect. Just the spot you want to stay when enjoying wine country.
Once we arrived at the villa Barbara (the owner) dropped in to show us around the villas facilities. On the way through Cessnock we bought food from the supermarket as it can be hit and miss what food is provided in some Villas. Lets just say at Lillies it is exceptionally well catered for! Barbara does a wonderful job with the food provisions, from cereal, bread, bacon, eggs, has browns, bubble and squeak, juice, milk, soft drink, the list goes on. There was also a bottle of wine and tawny provided. These are the touches that make such a difference when compared to other places of equal accommodation quality.
The Poolside Villa is large, modern and very clean. There is a full size kitchen, lounge with fireplace, large flatscreen tv. The kitchen has all the cutlery and plates/ bowls/ glasses you will ever need. The bedroom is large and luxurious with a modern ensuite including shower and bathtub.
Out the front of the villa there is a bbq and large raised deck. At grass level there is a fantastic pool. We spent most afternoons after wine tasting in the area by the pool enjoying our wine purchases. The pool can be chilly once the sun goes down so we found it was best enjoyed during the day. Once lazing by the pool was finsihed we spent every evening on the deck cooking dinner on the barbeque which was a fantastic way to end the day. We use to go out for dinner at various restaurants but when you find Villas as good as this there is no need to leave! Sleep quality is fantastic due to the comfortabe bed and total silence. The bedroom has blackout curtains, so we slept in everyday due to the total darkness which was great to get some well earned rest.
Verdict: This villa is a great place to stay and relax in the Hunter Valley right in the vineyards. We have stayed at many Villas in the Hunter and the Poolside Villa is our number #1 stay now for a summer getaway. If the pool was heated we would be at Poolside in Winter too!! This place is highly recommended.
