Excellent little hotel 5 only five minuters from the AirPort. Carlos in the reception helped us with a Quick check in and Win took care of us in the little restaurant. The staff really showed that little extra care and engagement that makes the whole difference. Normally you would not expect so much from a kitchen in a small hotel like this, but the pizza s where exceptionally good. I can really recommend this place for a night in connection with a flight the following day. Free shuttle service every hour., free breakfast, and a small but nice garden with a pool also add that extra value that you as a traveller appreciate.

Well as you all know pandemic has been hitting hard so it took a while for me to get to this but I promised I would. Berlor was my last stop on my trip to Costa Rica. I was tired I was weary and I was ready for home. Berlor for me was a great choice to start just for the fact of how close it is to the airport. When I arrived there I was treated like a king. Hospitality was to the max, the genuine kindness I felt from every employee I was introduced to made me feel extremely comfortable. The night I stayed I also enjoyed dinner in their in-house restaurant. Gallo pinto slow cooked shredded beef salad and bread, DELICIOUS! My bed was comfortable the shower had hot and cold with many towels. Also breakfast was included AND a ride to the airport! Thanks Berlor, you guys provided exactly what I needed on my last night of travel.

Victor, the owner is most accommodating. He has arranged transportation to the bus terminal in Villa Bonita so I can continue my journey to the west coast for fishing and beachcombing. The food is amazing and sitting on the pool deck with a cold Imperial in the garden is a great change from -32oC back home.
Rooms are compact (mine anyway), but very clean and neat.

We originally just wanted something close to the airport, but this hotel turned out to be so much more than that. The rooms are clean, the breakfast in the morning is yummy and Carolina is THE BEST! She gave us advice on what to do, where to go and even encouraged us try new foods at breakfast. We'll be going back to this hotel next time we visit Costa Rica!

(Also, this is located right next to Adobe car rental so it made arriving in the middle of the night a breeze!)

The courtyard is lovely. The breakfast area is quite pleasant. The breakfast was tasty. The Room was extremely clean. The staff was helpful with arranging my transport in the morning and was more concerned then was I that the remote to the TV did not work. My bed was extremely comfortable.

Overall, this was an excellent hotel for the money. On the downside, the room was extremely small and the Wi-Fi was, to say the best, spotty. The neighborhood was a little seedy. But I suppose that is what happens with an airport hotel.

Again, I feel that I got a good bargain for my money. I would recommend this hotel for someone who is also looking for a budget hotel either just before or just after air travel.

This hotel was a great place to stay after our flight into Costa Rica. We arrived pretty late, around 11pm, and someone was there to check us in. He was very friendly. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, and the shower had hot water. Our room didn't have any windows to the outside but, that was fine because we just needed a place to sleep before a shuttle picked us up at 9am. The breakfast was great: fruit, coffee, eggs, juice, and toast. There is a nice pool in the back but we didn't use it. Even though the hotel is close to a busy street, our room was quiet.

The hotel is 5 minutes from the airport and the cab fare was just a few dollars. We felt completely safe in the hotel. I would definitely stay again.

As soon as I arrived, the hospitality was obvious. Both ladies were asking what they could do to make my stay better. This hotel might be rated 3.5 starts, but the staff turn it into 5 stars. The location is also optimal near to the airport making it an excellent starting and finishing hotel. That morning I had a 06:35 flight and they arranged a cab the night before ($5 USD) at 04:45. It was a smooth process and the cab showed up on time. The hotel staff even brewed a cup of coffee while I was waiting for the cab. The staff is also very proficient in English which makes up for my non-existent Spanish. Rooms were small, basic, but clean.

We were 2 couples who stayed here on our way in & out of CR - Clean rooms & close to the airport, but the shining stars here are the staff! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, we really felt welcome. Win, our favorite, handled the restaurant and made us excellent lasagna, alfredo, chicken caesar salads & pina coladas, and also had coffee in the morning ready for us (breakfast is included but we had an early flight) - thank you Win! Carlos and Adolfo at the front desk went above & beyond for us and Victor had us laughing the whole time. Highly recommend & we'll be back for sure!

We booked this hotel our last night as we arrived in Alajuela for our flight the next day. It was raining, traffic was crazy and this place happened to be right next to Adobe car rental. So glad we chose here- next time we will book in advance.

Parking area has about 5 tight spots however the parking area is secured behind a gate and offers a very safe feeling when out there.

Enily (I probably spelled that wrong) was AMAZING! She helped us order our food from the menus in the lobby and facilitated the delivery, even brought the food to our room rather than calling us to come get it like agreed upon. She was a pleasure to be around and always smiling.

The pool and garden provided a comfortable environment for a small area. Umbrellas were located throughout the hotel for use in the rain. Our room was clean and came equipped with air conditioning (which wasn’t really needed) and hot water. Small tables and chairs outside the room were available to use as well.

Typical breakfast served in the morning with water, coffee or juice.

I stayed at Berlor for a night coming into Costa Rica and a night leaving Costa Rica. The hotel was easy to get to, clean, priced right and served a nice breakfast. But, most of all Carolina and her staff were extremely helpful in managing my surfboards to be picked up for shipping after I left the hotel, helped me find a fast and affordable COVID test lab nearby and even mailed some postcards for me. I'd say, they went out of their way for someone who was just passing through.

As a side note, you should pay no more than 2000 colones to get to the hotel from the airport.

We checked in around that time, and the manager was there at the front desk waiting for us. There are plenty of cabs ready at the airport when the flights come in. Cab fare was $6 US.
