We were made to feel welcome by the owners and locals in this small pub just a stone's throw from our rental cottage. Ate there twice in the week, same delicious veg both times, different mains which were simple but tasty. Enjoyed taking part in the weekly quiz. With no other local place serving food or drink it's handy to...

What an friendly welcoming atmosphere, spent the week in Gardenstown, beautiful picturesque place, but the week was made by a couple of nights in the local pub. Lovely place, even lovelier people, went in for the quiz, had such a laugh, we were terrible at the quiz, the landlord bought us a drink each out of pity, everyone spoke to...

Myself and my partner were staying not too far from Banff and came down for a little visit to the picturesque Gardenstown. Were thrilled to find this place. The owners were so lovely, such welcoming hosts and the pub is fantastic. We loved it so much we got a taxi there for night time drinks later and great times were...

My lovely husband, Mr Bridie, took me back to one of our favourite places, Gardenstown, for my birthday. We had a great time at The Garden Arms on our first visit (2015) so were looking forward to this year too and we weren't disappointed. We had a lovely evening of blethers with the owners, Dave and Lynne, on Saturday 26th...

Lovely pub tucked away in Gardenstown. A real amenity for the area. Dave and Lynn are great fun and make everyone welcome. They do food as well but make sure to book. This part of the world is a hidden gem for tourists.

Visited this place towards the end of October to be told they had finished serving food "apart from for people who have been booked for ages". We were told this on a Monday night at 6.30pm and when we asked about the rest of the week, they said no food available for the whole week - not fully booked, just...

The Garden Arms is an oasis. Very welcoming with delicious food. We were made very welcome by Dave and Lynn - after the first visit it felt like going to see friends rather than just going to the pub. We enjoyed it so much it went a long way to persuade us to book a cottage in the village again...

We had dinner several times in the Garden Arms Hotel, and enjoyed each meal immensely. The owners, Dave and Lynn are awesome people and they made us laugh in addition to looking after us which is important to a group of laid back Aussies. Although the menu isn't huge, the food is good and the servings will sustain you until...

Wow! Tucked away in a wee fishing village is this pub. Looks like plenty other pubs but, the food is fantastic! It's not a huge menu, if you're vegetarian, the chef will talk to you to see what you like. The fish is fresh and really well cooked. The veg was delicious, kale, green beans, onions and bacon lardons in...

Arrived in the village on July 22nd for a 3 week holiday, and we had an amazing time yet again. This marvellous pub is the central attraction in my eyes and its crowing glory are Dave and Lynne the owners. From the time you enter the bar either for food or drinks, you are made to feel one of the...
