We stayed at Macy's because we were going to a party in Chingford I can't think of any other reason why anyone would visit the town. On arrival we went to the door where a phone number was displayed to contact reception, a waiter from the restaurant saw us and called us into the restaurant where we were met by... More

Having read boutique etc. on the web this really wasn't what I was expecting. Rear parking is by a deeply rutted road into the back of the hotel. Also the back of a Chinese restaurant. Staff were helpful as Macy's monitors you by CCTV assuming they can see you! Entry is through the kitchen (not that clean) into the dark... More

We vuld have a weekend in London at budget price. The hotel location is by train, 25 minutes from Liverpool Street station and it is just 30 sec walk from the station to the Hotel. The Hotel is located in a bar/restaurant street and we heard some music from the street. The room was big and the cleaning was OK,... More

Bring a 4 wheel drive to park, access to rear car park is via a pot holed gravelled road. Only way in from the rear is through the dirty kitchen , no real hotel reception, no offer to help with bags . Room was clean and tidy but the disappointments of the room was the bed was hard, bed cover... More

I stayed with my family (2 adults and 2 children aged 18 and 10) for 5 nights at Macy's in London-Chingford between 5th and 10th of July 2013. I found this hotel through a web search and initially was a bit anxious about the distance to the city centre where we were supposed to travel every day for sightseeing and... More

Rather disappointing stay, as has been pointed out in another review this isn't really a hotel, rather a restaurant with rooms above. Room looked OK at first glance but had a number of issues. Bedside cabinet door was hanging off, remote for the TV didn't work, the heater/air conditioner unit didn't work and as it was a muggy night I... More

I booked this hotel because it has only 10 rooms and I hoped it would be quieter than the door slamming chain hotels. Big mistake on my part! This is not really a hotel but a restaurant with rooms above it. Checked in on Monday but could not pay for the room as the hotel card machine wasn’t working and... More

For the price of the room, £60 b&b I really couldn't complain. I think some people really need to re evaluate their expectations, especially when you consider the price of accommodation within the M25 generally. My room appeared as though it had been recently renovated, it was clean but apparent the renovations had been carried out on a budget. Minor... More

We stayed here in January 2013 as we had a birthday party to attend in the area. The room was clean and had everything we needed for the night. Breakfast was continental so we upgraded to the full English and it was amazing. The only bad things was that the room too ages to heat up and also the road... More

Stayed here in December for one night. Hotel room was OK, but with one thing missing - no heating available in the room whatsoever. It was freezing. Spent an awful night as it is the middle of winter. These rooms are above a restaurant and unsupported at night, as it is managed by the restaurant downstairs, and when the restaurant... More
