Walking the Via Francigena with friends. The hotel is a couple of kilometres off the trail. The hotel is geared towards middle-aged women in its decor--which didn't fit our group. The rooms are clean, spacious and well furnished, with the rooms theme painted instead of numbers. (Mine was the butterfly room.) I found the decor creepy, but I'm a guy....

Lovely hotel with good facilities and spectacular view. Nice big well furnished rooms. However when we checked my walking friend and I checked into our twin room it was a double and the receptionist demanded extra money to convert it to a twin despite our booking clearly stating that it should be a twin. At dinner we were told that...

Group of 16. Interesting, artistic decor. Clean, spacious & pleasant. Enjoyed Italian evening meal "seafood pasta , very good breakfast. Rooms with baths and showers (I had a little issue with shower plumbing) Would definitely return if ever back this way.

We booked this hotel through Secret Escapes and paid, what we thought, was a fair amount of money and therefore expected 4 star quality, as advertised. However I would not describe this hotel as a 4 star establishment. From the outside it looks impressive, however the inside looks tired and dated. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel...

We are convinced that this hotel must make its money out of weekend events, weddings etc. We stayed midweek and almost had the place to ourselves, including the pool and the restaurant. Beautifully if quirkily decorated, it had a feel of staying in someone's house, and if our Italian had been any good, might have felt even more so. Gambasssi...

This is a fabulous Tuscan villa with an amazing campus- they have tennis courts, a pool, lovely walking grounds and gardens. The food in the restaurant was fabulous and they were so accommodating to our requests- the rooms are in a period style so not for everyone- we didn't mind but if you are looking for a modern interior this...

this hotel is well situated if you have a car and want to visit a range of Tuscan locations - it's close to San Gimigniano and within easy (and beautiful) drives of Siena, Volterra, Florence, Lucca etc. The hotel is charming with spacious, well-appointed rooms. Service from Antonio also charming. Breakfast plentiful but perhaps uninspiring. The hotel seems to be...

We found Villa Bianca through Rue La La and after comparing the outstanding reviews on TripAdvisor were happy to have found it. The property is beautiful, immaculately tended to, and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was huge and delicious! Antonio and Francesca were wonderful guides, advisors and sources of great recommendations for day trips and restaurants. We loved our room -...

We went to Tuscany for a week and we decided to be located in this small town in the middle of atractions in this region (Florence, Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, etc... ) The hotel is small and very nice, decorated as old Tuscanian villa. The service is excellent. Breakfast is good but it could be improved. There is only one...
