About
Description
The Illa d’Or, founded in 1929, is a hotel which still maintains the authentic classical style from yonder. Situated in placid Puerto Pollença, where one can experience the sensation of beauty which has served as More inspiration to a multitude of yesterday’s and todays’s artists and writers. At the Illa D’Or, the sky and the sea are a gentle carress, dusk is a symphony of colours and night, whilst on the terrace and contemplating the moon reflection in the sea, one realises that it is one of the most beautiful areas, not only in Mallorca, but possibly, in the world. There is a large menu selection for lunch. The staff are pleasant. Unfortunately, they do not allow tips to be charged to the credit card. There is even an automatic door to the loo! There is a nice caesar salad, but the anchovies are applied as a sauce, rather than in fish f

We came to the Illa d'Or last year for our 15th wedding anniversary and thought we'd visit again as we'd enjoyed it so much.

This time we decide to go with a sea view room with a balcony, and what a balcony. It was as big as the room with a large sun bed on it. Really nice room

Stunning location and friendly helpful staff. Our rooms were clean but need updating and on the small side. Breakfast was fresh and well presented. However the restaurant felt crowded with too many tables. Dinner was disappointing. The Beach Bar/ Bistro evening menu was a lot

We booked a number of rooms in this hotel during September and were not disappointed with our choice. The staff of Reception were really helpful and could not do enough for you.

Our rooms were all decorated in a similar way, really comfortable and pleasant. Whilst we didn't hav

Hi we're looking at doing a very last minute break, staying at Illa d'Or. Reviews suggest dinner is very good so thinking of half board package but would like to check if you can eat at the Terrace Restaurant with this package or is it purely set menu inside? If anyone can help would be most grateful. Also while I'm at it, can someone enlighten me as to actual size of beds... what is a large double (quoted on Bookingcom). The studios at the back look good but the picture with bed in studio looks as if one of us will have to climb in from the base of the bed... it's wedged up against a wall... any feedback anyone?
The half board option is indoors. The terraza is a la carte. The beds are big but rooms vary so ask the hotel. They will tell you the exact size. The apartments beds seemed big enough to me.

my friend and I are coming to stay next June and have booked 2 single rooms with Jet2. We were told that we couldn't book rooms with a balcony or sea view and think the rooms may be small. Is it worth asking for apartment rooms for more space? I don't think they have balconies either?
We had the same experience. We upgraded to a junior sweet on arrival Our advice should you want a balcony or a sea view or both is to book directly with the hotel

Can you play tennis on the tennis courts here if you are not staying in the hotel ?
I think unless your a hotel guest or staying in the apartments adjacent to the tennis courts then I don’t think you can use them no,hope this helps.

My husband and myself are hoping to book a late deal at this hotel and one of the options available is the studio (annex building) which states contains 1 single bed. Is this true? Are the studios big enough for 2 persons? Has anyone stayed in the studio before? Would you recommend? Thanks in adavnace!!
If by studios you mean apartment at the rear of the hotel you will not be disappointed, they are ideal for two people to stay in.

Are there plenty of areas to sunbathe as the pool looks pretty shady.
Lots of sun loungers on the terrace by the sea where there is a bar. There are also chairs & tables to relax with a drink.
