We stayed there for 3 days, enjoyed the beach and the massages that were great and not overpriced like some places. Wi-Fi is approximative like most places in the Philippines. We wish our room had a bigger balcony but it was very clean. Since the hotel is quite isolated, we ate every night at the restaurant, food was good but...

Great place to stay. The employees were nice and helpful, decent price which included breakfast & airport or nearby transfer service, good location (near beach with hilltop view) & amenities with a nice garden, rest & play areas and museum. My only minor gripe is that the wifi reception in my room was not good!

Almost right on the pristine white beach, this cozy laid-back resort is perfect for anyone. I brought 2 kids, aged 14 and 8, and they loved it even though it is secluded and quiet. The room was very clean and nicely decorated and had the most fantastic view! Room was close to the restaurant, pool and lobby. Day excursions available....

Amarela is very homy and you can find "home" in there. Food was great despite having only 1 restaurant and the rooms are also very neat. I advise you to visit the Philippine summer months of March-May if you wan to experience the beach. There is also a library and DVD area and the staff is knowledgeable and very alert

Stayed here last October and while I love the seclusion the hotel offers I guess the only setback is that the beach had a lot of moss where its almost impossible for you to at least snorkel without having go rent a boat. There are also no other eating options within the area. Loved the hotel but not the beach.

Travellers should put in mind that Amarela Resort isn't a big hotel, building type; rather, it's more of a private sanctuary where privacy is a sure deal. The place is great and I especially like its architectural style with blends of traditional Filipino and Mediterrenean bricks. It is very homy and the staff is competent. Despite having only 1 restaurant,...

Staff was sooo nice, can't thank them enough for the great customer service they provide. The hotel is well decorated but not so nice from outside, maybe a bit overpriced but right in front of a private beach (which isn't great by the way). Waiters need more training but they were really nice. Food in the restaurant was good too.

I highly recommend Amarella to be your home of choice while exploring the wonders of Bohol. Its unique structure showcases the traditional Filipino home - wood furniture, local art and detail. This is complemented with hotel-like facilities and amenitities, with an added attraction of beach accessibility. Definitely a place for the family.

This is my third stay and again, I am not disappointed. The warm Filipino-Spanish motif of an old house or rooms with a library, it's own beach access and very nice food made our stay perfect. We made all the arrangements for tour through the hotel too. Perfect place to relax and base to visit Bohol.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Amarela Resort during our honeymoon, and thoroughly enjoyed it. After contacting them about our arrival, the hotel arranged a complimentary transfer from Tagbilaran port, and they had prepared a nice welcome in our room. The resort was designed by an architect hired by a retired lawyer from Manila, and a lot of...
