Cottage Hotel - St. Ives [3 Alpha & AA Three Star]Delightfully situated in extensive grounds overlooking Carbis Bay, 300 yards from the beach and two minutes' walk from the railway station linking Carbis Bay to St.Ives (5 minute journey). The restaurant and sun lounge have lovely views of the bay and there is a large ballroom with entertainment most evenings. There are two bars, snooker table and TV lounge. 80 rooms with central heating and bath or shower and WC. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, intercom and TV with radio channels. Just returned from the Cottage Hotel with Alfa Travel with Russell the driver. It is a very nice hotel and a shame it is closing for good soon, wish staff well for the future. I had a single room No.46 with a sea view. Comfortable but either the plumbing from above or next door

Me and two others stayed at this hotel for one night, the room was spotless the beds were comfortable and the front of house staff were extremely helpful especially the Hungarian lady she explained everything very well and was always putting herself out to help the swimming pool

Yes we stayed here in April. We new it was closing at the end of this year but not sure of the exact date. Real shame because we loved it. Great location and great views across the bay. Feel so sorry for the staff who all worked well. Hope they found other work.

Hi. As Mick Y stated, the hill back up to the main road is quite steep and then there is a walk of a couple of miles (which is fairly flat). The train station is just outside of the hotel however and return tickets are available. Kind regards Stacey
