We stayed in Panorama Cottage, which is separate from the actual Hunchy Hideaway, we chose it for the promise of fabulous views and we were not disappointed. Located about 4 kms from Maleny this cosy cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and more. The spa provides a wonderful private experience to view the sunset and the stars....

Enjoyed our stay 10 yrs ago, and once again for our wedding anniversary very secluded romantic escape. Hunchys Hideaway  inspired us to always make time for each other. A great place to fall in love all over again

Gum Nut Cottage at Hunchy Hideaway is the perfect base for exploring the base around Montville. The presentation and planning for guests undertaken by Denis and Ali is flawless right from reception. A 200 metre boardwalk inclines down through the trees so it’s simple to wheel your case. And to greet you there are flowers, candles, and a fridge and...

Hubby and I are like locals at Hunchy Hideaway, Denis and Ali know how to set the mood. We always feel relaxed when we walk into the cottage. I love the scones, breaky supplies and chocolates with a cuppa. See you soon guys. xx

My husband and I booked a rainforest cabin for December/January 2015/16 for a long-stay looking forward to a relaxing time of reading and leisure. Our expectations were easily exceeded by the tranquil solitude of Hunchy Hideaway. It's a great place to let go and breathe in deeply the nature and enjoy the daily visits by brush turkeys and possums, which...

My husband and I adore Montville, and between us we have stayed at more than a few of the gorgeous rainforest hideaways in the area. All are beautiful, all have the perfect solitude of nature, and all have very accommodating operators. But our first time at Hunchy Hideaway really gave us an experience that in our minds sets it apart....

Stayed in the gum nut cottage for 3 nights and it was amazing. The pictures don't even do it justice to how wonderful it is. The owners were lovely when we checked in and had left us breakfast and scones in the shape of love hearts. When we walked in there was soft music playing which we thought was a...

Hubby and I stayed for 3 nights in the Gum Nut Cottage. Although I fell ill during our stay and was not able to enjoy it to the best of my ability, I would definitely recommend Hunchy Hideaway for a romantic escape for two. Upon arrival, we were impressed with the natural surrounds and beautiful pathways leading down to our...

Thanks for your lovely review, we are very pleased you enjoyed your stay in Gum-nut Cottage. We would just like to mention that although our TV is beamed in by satellite from Central Australia, complete with the local ads, it does however provide exactly the same programs as Brisbane, including the Brisbane news. We just didn't want anyone to think...

My fiancee and I spent 3 days here. Stunning! If you ever have couple of spare days I highly recommend this place. It is so secluded yet romantic and has everything you ever need. From fire place to spa to BBQ to open shower it just doesn't get better than this. It was an awesome waterfall walk which is just...
