This castle is a charming stay for a few days in summer. I stayed in January and found the rooms too cold and the meal service limited. No laundry service meant I had to bring my laundry with me after a 5 night stay.

I returned a second year to Chateau Harze to visit friends and tour Europe. We stayed 2 nights. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had very high ceilings, though not width. We wanted to have the ambiance of staying in a Chateau and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was not open the days we were...

A great place - you can feel the history and the grandeur, the personnel is very kind and helpful, good food - the restaurant is really nice, the breakfast is pretty diverse. I loved my time spent here - even if it was for work :)

The room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had enough variety for our 2 day visit. We stayed in the annex which was rather pllain and that was reflected in the price. The wifi signal was very week and downloading e-mail was a chore. Beautiful setting. On Saturday when coming back from a nice long hike...

We stayed at the chateau in Harze as a nice weekend retreat. The check-in and welcome was very pleasant and in no time were we on our way to the room. The room itself was spacious with a beautiful view of the gardens. The bed was comfortable although the pillows were a bit large for our taste. The bathroom was...

We arrived with 6 people in 3 rooms. The reception was friendy. The rooms are big enough, clean, 2 had a shower and one was with a bath. We stayed next to the castle beacause of the dogs. No complaints about the hotel and the breakfast. There is a restaurant but only a French menu. No other language. The personal...

Is was Vallentine, we were there for my 50th birthday, my one sons 21st and the other sons 18th birthday We first only booked for the dinner Sunday night, but then we decided to...

We loved staying in this gorgeous castle. The rooms are spacious and like those of a fancy hotel chain, but the hotel is actually locally owned with very friendly staff. Unpretentious. Nice restaurant on the premise. We liked having great wifi, a small fridge and a coffee maker in our room. It was great to stay here and make day...

If you go, best to stay in the main building not annex. The restaurant is excellent. Plenty of opportunity for walks in this rural area and other attractions a short drive away. Best for seminars weddings or one overnight stay en passant.
