The occasion was a 4 day reunion of Army veterans to Willich, a small town near Krefeld, Munchen Gladbach & Düsseldorf in Germany. This visit coincided with the annual celebration of Schutzenfest. I booked on-line for 4 days b&b with Hotel Hubertus Hamacher, a very wise choice. We were impressed by the facilities, size of rooms, staff & management who couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is situated 0.8 miles from Willich town centre Which itself is neatly triangulated by the towns of Krefeld, Munchen Gladbach & the city of Dusseldorf, all of which are approx 20 mins distant by car.

I stayed in this hotel last week the very first time and was surprised. From the outside you almost miss the hotel. When you enter you are welcomed by the owner family right at the breakfast room. The rooms are simple and clean, but also made that way you feel home. The bathroom is nice and clean - here you easily find out the maintenance of any hotel - here all is very much in order. Wifi service with password is very fast running with great coverage all over the hotel. As difference from other hotels, the owner family has its breakfast table in the breakfast room - family operated hotel. Owners grand kids had their breakfast when we showed up to have ours. Breakfast choices are more than enough - much more you would expect with a hotel of this size - all is fresh - from eggs to bread (Brötchen, german rolls). Stay in this hotel when you want to make a stop before Mönchengladbach / Duisburg / keep going further to Benelux. Quite loctaed hotel. Receiption closed 9 pm. Make your arrangements with the hotel when arriving late. I am staying in many hotels and many rooms are alike. These rooms are different - this is what I like - not one more boring standard room.

Been here numerous times over the past 15+years, but not for 4 years and must say the welcome was great, still a nice family run business, very clean and nice rooms, bathrooms have been upgraded. All in all would recommend anyone travelling through it is a good place to stay.

Clean well managed family hotel located in a small town 20 km outside Düsseldorf. I got an appartment in another building 300 m away. The appartment was big and well equiped for a longer stay for 1 person. Functionality clearly prevails on atmosphere. I just got disappointed that it appeared to be a smoking room.Top ratio price/quality at breakfast in the main building. Easy parking.Efficient reception.
