This grand heritage home had a wonderful feel of welcome and warmth. Mary served a 5 star breakfast each morning that was fresh, local and healthy leaving us feeling well and ready to start our day. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. Loved every minute of our stay. Thanks Mary for your warm hospitality :)

Loved our stay in Mary's heritage house. Stayed two nights first week in Oct. Very comfortable room and bed, delicious breakfasts and central location for exploring the valley. Family style dining made it easy to converse with other guests.

My wife and I were running the valley harvest marathon in the morning. We decided we wanted to stay in the Valley to save us the drive from Halifax early on race day. Carwarden is only a 10 minute drive to the starting line. Mary went above and beyond our expectations! She greeted us at the door as soon as...

Our cheerful and lively hostess thought of every detail, from asking about our food preferences to providing good-quality reading lamps in our beautiful room, which featured period furniture and elegant decor. Our breakfast consisted of baked pears with a blueberry coulis and then a savoury quiche plus home-made bread, all served on fine china. Handy to good seafood dinner at...

Carwarden B&B was recommended to me by a friend and it didn't disappoint. The decor was exactly what I had hoped...like being in an Anne of Green Gables novel. I loved it, my husband was less enthusiastic. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I especially loved the antique furniture. The inn-keeper was a great combination of hospitable with...

Unfortunately we had only one night at this B & B. It was so comfortable, quiet, tasteful and clean, we would like to have stayed longer. The house is grand, very well located and in a beautiful spot for exploring the Annapolis Valley. Delicious breakfast and enjoyed Mary's hospitality and good humor. Highly recommend!!!

We spent two nights at Carwarden while visiting Annapolis Valley. Mary, the friendly host, runs Carwarden like clockwork at her charming huge historic house. The rooms (and even the bathroom) are generous in size and full of characters. The breakfast was wholesome and delightful. We enjoyed the interesting conversations with people from all over the world during breakfast. Highly recommended!

We were exploring the Minas Basin area, especially the Prescott House Museum and the Grand Pre site, and Carwarden looked to be the best choice. It was. The house is beautiful, and our hostess Mary has kept it in its original condition. She even uses a wood-burning stove rather than alter the authenticity of the place. We stayed for 2 nights,...

While visiting the area where my father and his family is from, we stayed with Mary at Carwarden! This was my husband's first time at a B&B and we both just loved it. Warm and personable folks, a huge maritimes breakfast, beautiful home and lovely ambiance! Hope we get to go back one day!
