This is a traditional B&B in a peacefully serene area just off the beaten path. A Heritage property featuring spacious high ceilings, comfortable rooms, antiques and wide veranda with beautiful pastoral views. The hostess is a gem that must not be missed. Breakfast was unbelievable.

Recently my wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Carwarden Bed and Breakfast in Port Williams Nova Scotia. The historic house is located in a rural area just outside the small town of Port Williams, which, in turn, is a ten minute drive from the university town of Wolfville. As would be expected, a car is...

We stumbled across this place at the last minute and spent one night as we travelled through Port Williams. What a find. The house itself is beautiful, the bed was super comfy (we were in the Cortland Room) and the room had all the creature comforts but the best thing about this accommodation was the host, Mary. She was so...

We stayed at Carwarden two evenings and truly enjoyed our stay and talks with Mary about life in general and what to do to enjoy your stay in the area.. She reminded us so much of my husband's Grandmother with her boundless energy, wonderful cooking and baking and genuine desire that you will enjoy your stay. Mary is amazing! The...

My husband, a visiting friend from Quebec and myself wanted to spend time in the Wolfeville area visiting wineries, etc. and decided the best way to do it was to stay over-night. Perusing the B&B's in the area, I was taken with the web-site for Carwarden so booked two rooms, en suite for the night. What a find! The home...

This is a beautiful historic house that has been lovingly maintained and furnished with period furniture. Mary is a wonderful hostess. We had originally intended to get up, eat and move on and ended up 2 hours behind schedule because we were enjoying our chat with Mary! Spacious rooms, excellent breakfast! I hope to return!

When we planned a trip to the Annapolis Valley with friends, we thought we should try something new, but, as luck would have it, we gravitated back to our favourite, the Carwarden, with gracious host, Mary. She welcomed us as long-lost family (it has been four years!) and welcomed our traveling companions to join us for an afternoon cocktail (they...

Edith and I totally enjoyed our stay at Carwarden. This quintessential country B&B provides an idyllic refuge for the world-weary and jaded traveller alike. Though Mary's Carwarden exhibits all the traits of a well-run establishment, i.e. well-appointed rooms, maps, tourist information and the like, it speaks to simpler times, quieter times. There is an ineffable quality here that commands one...

This is a lovely home in the Annapolis Valley, located in a beautiful countryside close to Wolfville. The hostess is very friendly and engaging, rooms are lovely, and the breakfasts are excellent. Highly recommended for anyone staying in the area.

My spouse and I spent a night at Carwarden while touring heritage houses in this part of Nova Scotia. The house is absolutely wonderful, an eclectic design with a Craftsman theme designed by a famous local architect in 1910. But the best part was our host, Mary who gave us a great welcome, offered us advice on local sites and...
