A lovely lovely hotel with lovely staff!!!! Sadly it was a funeral that brought us to the Step hotel for the first time, but the hotel was very nice. The food was excellent, the staff were very professional and very friendly. The only downside is that there are steps everywhere 😂 I've never been in a hotel with so many...

I have had the pleasure of being served by Jonathan on a number of occasions now and my wife and I decided to pass on this note this evening in the hope that the management at the hotel would tell him he's a wonderfully professional chap and an asset to the hotel.

I previously stayed at the Step House a couple of years ago, and always wanted to go back after a very pleasant experience. Booked it during the week for a last minute decision to have a night away, and got a great deal. I was disappointed to note that the restaurant was going to be closed as, having stayed two...

Visited the Step House on New Years Eve for dinner in the cellar bar. The service, food and atmosphere was brilliant. The cellar bar is comfortable and was really nicely decorated for Christmas. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure you have everything you need. Food was tasty and well presented. We ate...

I have visited the restaurant at Step House Hotel a couple of times now, on both occasions I did not make a booking. The food was excellent and the service was equally as good, there is a good selection on the menu and also daily special's, I have to say that I am a bit of a chocoholic and their...

We attended a wedding here recently and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and size of the bedrooms. Nice big open rooms. The bed was very big and comfortable, the only criticism here was about the pillows. They were small and thin in comparison to the rest of the bed. The main bar has a very nice atmosphere and...

Hotel clean and comfortable as usual. Only stayed one night this time whilst en route to the Gorsebridge Go for Gold Sales at Gory. I understand the situation that the hotel finds itself in with the temporary owners/Bank running the place but I think they are misguided to use the limited menu that was available. Food was ok but the...

We regularly dine here and the meal is always excellent. Recently I ordered the mini beefburgers with sweet potato fries for my grandnephew and the look on his face worked wonders! The meal was gorgeous. I had fish and was equally pleased. To top it all the dessert was so good that we sent compliments to the chef. Well done...
