The hotel is very well located, just a step away from the center of Hanga Roa. the rooms were clean, and the breakfast were good too. Just a little problem: for those bringing their own food (in cans or dehidrated, as is often recommended to travelers, given high food prices in the island), the hotel restaurant has no microwave to...

This is a great hostel, if you want a quiet place, without television, internet ,telephones or hair dryers in the rooms, but who needs this stuffs?. That is perfect if you need a pause in the stressful modern life. The rooms are clean, and have a confortable bed, a closet and and a private bathroom. If you really need internet...

I am greatly saddened to read some of the poor reviews on here. They are the exact opposite of my experiences of Chez Joseph, and so I feel compelled to write this review. My husband and I were married on Easter Island in December 2008 and had an exceptional 2 week stay at Chez Joseph. The standard of accommodation is...

I understand that must be quite expensive to keep a hotel business in Easter Island in the sense that most everything has to be acquired from the main land, but, USD 120 a night in a hotel like Chez Joseph, I think it´s a little too much. The hotel is, actually, ok. If you are going to a remote place...

When you land, you notice right away that the town isn't the brightest or the cleanest. Looking at the hotel and where it is located, one would think the same about the inside as well. However, it was nice and clean! I couldn't have imagined it to be like that. The room is bare, but hopefully you won't be spending...

In planning and research for a 5-day, 4-night trip to Easter Island, we knew going in that there were no Hilton Hotels, spas or 18-hole golf courses on the Island. We knew that accommodations were in guest houses, which can be strangely sparse, but our time on Isle de Pasqua was going to be finding and photographing the Moai’s, not...

The owners and staff of this hotel saw the influx of tourists for July's total solar eclipse as an ideal opportunity for large scale price gouging on an unprecedented level. The hotel is set off an unsealed, dirt road which was mostly muddy during the three days of our group's stay. This meant that mud was unavoidably tracked along hotel...

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel, if it hadnt been for the fact we were there to see the eclipse and travelling with such wonderful people this part of the holiday would have been a travisty. The hotel was damp, old, unkempt, the majority of the time no hot water, majority of the time no WiFi as advertised,...
