I rarely write reviews but felt that this hotel warranted one..... Beer Is a lovely place to visit and the Dolphin is a really nice hotel. Every member of staff i met was Excellent. The receptionists, Bar staff, the Chef, and the cleaner, all really impressive and helpful. The bar is great, with 3 real ales (although a little pricey,...

Popped in here, the 4 of us enjoyed beautifully made sandwiches and drunks. Good choices on menu and great wine selection. Warm and cosy feeling place and very welcoming. Good value and very clean. Staff were helpful and the hall of mirrors made us really laugh. Worth a visit and we'll definitely return when in area again.

Excellent choice on regular and special menus and a good children's menu. We had the seafood salad with avocado and prawns and the steak and the portion sizes are big. Service is good and we have eaten here on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. Our favourite place to eat in Beer.

Had a lovely meal here after the grizzly run, the food was very good, the staff were very friendly and reasonably priced. Defiantly recommend popping in for a bite to eat then a stroll down the the beach.

Spent last weekend in Beer - lovely seaside village - and we chose to have Sunday dinner in this wonderful restaurant. The extensive a la carte menu (supplemented by a Daily Specials menu) caters for everyone. Food was excellent, service friendly and dogs catered for! Highly recommend.

We stay here about once year, the rooms are not luxurious but are clean tidy and comfortable, with en-suite and tea/coffee facilities. The joy of this hotel is it is bit quirky, lovely staff, and best of all the food is good quality and plentiful. They always have daily specials, the fish is local and fresh, their signature dish is...

I can't comment on the rooms, as I only popped in for a quick bite to eat. the bar staff were only happy to help and direct us to the restaurant, however we got confused and the reception staff made some comments that made my father feel rather unappreciated as a paying customer. the restaurant was a touch out of...

Thank you for your review of The Dolphin Hotel. We are are sorry that some of our staff made you feel unwelcome with their comments. We look forward to welcoming you back and would love for you to eat in the Restaurant rather than the Lounge Bar which is where it sounds like you may have eaten last time.

We booked a cottage in the village for the weekend, and the Dolphin Hotel is a 2 minute walk from our location. We visited the long bar on the Sunday, to have a drink and watch the rugby match England v Wales, , on arrival we were made to feel very welcome by the staff and also the regular customers...

We spent the whole afternoon here in the long bar watching England beat Wales 12th Feb 2017. What a wonderful atmosphere. We were made to feel really welcome by the staff and the local people. We returned in the evening to dine in the restaurant, what wonderful food. Extremely tasty food and what portions. The sea food is brilliant. If...
