Booked a 4 day stay at the Dophin in Beer that was extremely enjoyable. From first contact with the hotels reception, bar and room staff it soon became quite obvious that everyone was very friendly, courteous and relaxed. Free parking and wifi in public areas was available.

Situated in the high street in Beer the Dolphin is well placed for shops, the beach and all the amenities. Having its own car park is a definite plus at busy times. The rooms are comfortable and the dinner menu excellent, as was the food. If you want a modern hotel this is not for you, but despite being rather...

9 of us pre booked lunch in the Restaurant to eat A la Carte. Good choice. The bar is friendly with a good choice of local ales. I tried the Dartmoor first but preferred the Tribute. Took our drinks through to spacious restaurant where the choice was almost overwhelming. I had Lyme Bay scallops served with bacon and a small...

Lovely situated hotel ,close to beach and all amenities . Very clean room and comfortable bed but hotel still a bit dated in parts although they are updating it slowly. Food excellent and good portions at very reasonable prices and on site parking a bonus. Nice place just for a stop over .

We decided that as the Dolphin could cater for all tastes we would have my birthday there. The party consisted from early 40s to 90 years of age, everyone enjoyed the food and wine, all was delivered efficiently and hot. If you have a big party the Dolphin won't let you down.

Recommended by locals and certainly lived up to expectations. Beautiful plate of food in comfortable surroundings. Probably the best Rib eye Steak we have ever had and at 16oz for £20 very good value. Even the peas were cooked to a turn!!!. Book to avoid disappointment.

We stayed for 2 nights. Room was lovely. Staff were all friendly(even when we lost our carpark pass). Food was tasty, well cooked and plentiful. The village is very nice and the Dolphin Hotel is in a great location. Would definitely stay again

The accommodation is upstairs above the restaurant and pub, there is a bit of noise but the rooms are traditional seaside fare, large on suite and clean. Staff we found very helpful with hints and tips to local sightseeing offered.

Nice helpful staff, good food, including locally caught fish and huge portions. A short walk down the hill to the beach. There you can watch the fishermen bringing in their catches and keen sailors launching their boats. (You could also rent a Beachhut there!) A huge plus is the Dolphin's very own carpark, with parking obviously at a premium in...
