This was a last minute booking and we had a wonderful stay. Owner couldn't have been kinder and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful house and location. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends. Wish we could have stayed longer. Dog friendly.

Thank you for your excellent review. We would be very happy to see you back at Cleavers Lyng one of these days. Sally Simpson

Sally gave us a warm welcome and upgraded our room for us, no extra charge. A very welcome surprise. The breakfast room was warm and welcoming and the cooked breakfast menu was a delight. I tried a different cooked breakfast every day and was not disappointed. Our rooms were comfortable and the views of the marshes and the countryside were...

A warm welcome from Sally set the tone for our stay. We were shown to our room The Sunny Room which lived up to its name on a couple of days -- dual aspect windows giving a fine view over the garden to Pevensey Marshes. the shower was a wee bit small and the pressure was low but not a...

Stayed here recently and what a little gem this is. Greeted by sally the owner and felt welcome immediately. Beautiful room with a four poster bed. Probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in. Lovely breakfast in the morning, all quality produce, and plenty of it. Remote location so peace and quiet a plenty. Fully recommend to anyone wanting a...

We much enjoyed our two-night stay in this charming house set in a lovely garden. We had chosen the Sunny Room and it lived up to its name with windows overlooking the gardens and fantastic views. The room wasn't large but it had some very nice touches with biscuits and a chocolate on the beverage tray, a large bottle of...

We stayed in the French Room. Not massive but big enough, and very well appointed and provisioned. Very comfortable bed. The house has plenty of spaces for visitors to relax outside of their rooms - by the inglenook fireplace downstairs with a selection of books; on the large landing with a card table and a selection of games; and probably...

Had a lovely long weekend stay. Comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. The shower was rather small but served its purpose. Highly recommended. One word of warning do not trust sat navigation to get you here. Print off the instructions from the website and enjoy.

This lovely house and garden is in a beautiful location down a quiet country lane. We had a room at the back overlooking the gardens and countryside beyond but it was a bit on the small side although it had the advantage of two windows giving it a good outlook. The furnishings are very fussy with a strange tassel decoration...

If you are looking for 17th century Tudor house, with beams and an inglenook fireplace, situated in a quiet country lane. Everything perfect. Super-comfortable bed. Beautifully furnished, cosy house with fantastic country garden and lovely surroundings. Stylish would be a better description than quaint or trendy. Very good recommendations for nearby places to eat at. Strategically located for easy access to Eastbourne, Battle and Hastings and the fine country to the north.
