#5 of 11 Speciality lodging in Budardalur
The apartments are in a duplex house in the small town, Budardalur only 150 km from Reykjavik. It is on the town border with a mountain veiw from living room and ocean view from kitchen. It is both private and peaceful. Great location for exploring the Western peninsula, Snæfellsnes and Westfjords. This is a house with two private apartments and this apartment is 80 square meters in size. There is a really well equipped kitchen, barbecue on the sundeck, bathroom with a shower, two bedrooms and a really spacious livingroom. One bedrooms with a double bed and one bedroom with a two single beds. In the livingroom is a sleeping sofa for two. There is a wi-fi internet connection. The area is really beautiful with the Westfjords to the north and Snæfellsnes to the south. The Northen Lights can be quite spectecular over the house at winter nights.

This is a small chalet bungalow close to the main road in the small town of Budardalur. Like many, we were on our way between Akureryi and Reykjavik and it is a useful place to break the journey. We were given a keycode and we could park directly outside. Inside, everything was clean and well equipped. We cooked our own meals at each self-catering property we rented and this one had the best selection of knives, bowls, glasses etc and all very well-kept and clean. There is a small supermarket and garage on the main road close by and a lovely local handicrafts shop where I bought a lupapeysa and some other handknitted items. In the chalet, it was great having space to move around after nights in small hotel rooms. The bed was comfortable and all facilities were functional. There is not much to see and do in the town other than a small beach and a handful of cafes and shops. You could get a pizza if you did not want to cook and the owner has supplied menus and prices.

This apt, was really a very good place to stay, it's prepared for turists, so it has what you might need for a night or 2. It's a great spot for going up to the northern west or the snaelfessness peninsula. I took a day to rest here, as the place is big, very comfortable, and the views of the sunset were really amazing! Owner answered quick and efficiently!

Highly recommend this property. I stupidly let the door close with the keys inside and the owner sent us help immediately. Fantastic facilities, the washing machine is a particular joy if you have been on the road for weeks.

Great place to stop on the way. We accidently took a longer route but a shorter route would have saved time. Location is great to visit and the accommodations are comfortable and spacious. The apt is steps from a bird sanctuary and the beach. Recommend stopping here. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. She gave us good information and genuinely cared for our needs.

The apartments come with fully new equipped kitchen, coffee machine, kettle and basic goods such as coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper. We cooked and cleaned it. Supermarket and oil station are near the apartment. Free Wifi is good. Checkin is easy - key box. Car can park in front of the door.
