Sabuk Lodge was a perfect Christmas holiday. Verity Williams is the perfect host, the guides and staff knowledgeable, food good and accommodations exceptional. The attention given to my grandchildren (ages 8 and 11 years) was the highlight of their African experience.

I often read universally glowing reviews of a place with some caution, but in this case I find myself writing one. The nearest town to Sabuk Lodge is Nanyuki but it is well over an hour’s drive away (more in our case as we took our time and also ended up going a somewhat long way around!), however you can...

Everyone at Sabuk is so happy and grateful for your very kind review! Driving up to the lodge is an adventure and you were very lucky to see some game on your way. We love our little cabins and glad you liked them to! It is such a special thing to fall asleep to the sound of the roaring river....

This is one of my favourite places in the world and I long to return. We spent 4 nights here, recovering from a healthcare outreach trip. It is real Kenya and I felt privileged to be a guest of Verity and her dedicated staff. It is the most beautiful place, set into a cliff, overlooking a river gorge. I will...

I don't think we will ever stay anywhere better than Sabuk. The location is breathtaking. Verity and her staff are the perfect hosts. The accommodation is beautiful and unique and the lodges actually compliment the area. The food is faultless (plus the camel ride and horse rides to our bush breakfasts were fantastic). Robert and Kumbau are amazing guides. Prices...

We flew in a chartered Cessna from Naivasha to Laikipia airstrip (45 minutes) where we were met by charming staff of Sabuk Lodge, and driven to our wonderful accommodation for 2 nights. The Lodge comprises several unique and breathtaking rooms, all essentially open to the elements as there were no windows but creatively and very comfortably fashioned into the rocks....

SABUK Lodge is so different from anything we have ever seen it is hard to compare or even to describe. Think The Flinstones meets The Australian Outback meets The Ritz and you're getting somewhere. There were 35 staff to look after two of us! This included kitchen staff, security, waiters, guides, animal herders, Rangers, et al. Dinner under the stars...

Flew from Nairobi in a small twelve seat plane. Was met at the airstrip by my guide and guard. Drive to Sabuk as approx 45 mins, depending on the road conditions. You see game on the drive and can stop if you want. I was one of the groups of guests on the first day. Get settled in with lunch...
