Overlooking Quesnel Lake and the mouth of the Quesnel River, in the rural community of Likely, this 12 room motel offers a full bathroom, satellite tv, free wifi, telephone and a mini fridge in each room. Kettles, coffee makers and microwaves are available on request. Pet friendly rooms are also available for an extra fee. Located on the Cariboo Gold Rush Trail at the south end of the Backroad to Barkerville, this is a quiet, clean and comfortable place to stay before venturing out sightseeing or enjoying the many outdoor activities the area has to offer. The onsite restaurant is open daily for breakfast 7:30-10:30 am. Free parking and winter plugins available. ***We have posted our Covid-19 Safety Plan on our website.***

Greeted with a huge smile and a warm small town welcome, which included conversation and time spent answering our questions about the hotel and the region. High Country Inn, mostly used by loggers in the off season was recently purchased by a lovely couple who are bringing the hotel's charm back. The room although simple, is clean and has everything you need for a pleasant stay, including a fridge and lots of hot water in the shower. It is on the same road as Cedar Point Park which has (boat) access to Quesnel Lake. *Note: the water from the room is not potable but they give you bottled water and you can get additional bottles from the restaurant/kitchen (no charge.). *Note: cell phones do not work in Likely so having wifi at the hotel is great. *Note: the restaurant is only open for breakfast…
