My husband and I first discovered Hotel Vittorio in June 2013, and I've been back twice since. We have booked two holidays for this summer alone. And I hesitate to promote it too much, because this hotel is so special, so popular, that I"m afraid...More
This hotel was incredibly charming. It is family run and Fabio was great at helping us out with all that we needed. The location was great - right on the beach. The rooms were simple, clean and all have a balcony view. The food was...More
This hotel is not only gorgeous and ideally located in one of the nicest beaches in Ischia, but it also truly is a home away from home. It's a family ran hotel and they truly make you feel like you are in their home.

Hi Chris, I'm obviously too late for May 15th but I just saw your question, and if you're visiting again at a later date, I recommend Hotel Vittorio: it's perfect for what you want on Ischia (it was what my husband wanted, too: 'I just want to be right on the beach').
For Pompei etc, Vittorio is also perfect because Fabio can arrange your transport back to Naples: taxi/ferry/taxi etc - so all you have to do is ask him how to get from Naples port to Pompeii.
If you did go in May, what did you think of it? Not everyone gets how magic this place is, which is fine with us!
