Six of us stayed in the "lodge" and found it a perfect place for a few days of snow shoeing and cross country skiing. The place was a perfect size for us, and we found it very cozy with our chairs around the fireplace. The place was immaculate, and had everything we needed.

We stayed in JR's Hideaway last January for a weekend getaway. It was wonderful! The cabin is gorgeous, extremely clean and the bed oh so comfortable. It was peaceful, quiet and exactly what we needed. The hosts were so helpful and friendly and the resort is fully stocked with things to keep you busy. We loved it so much we've booked again for this coming January.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Greystone (boathouse cabin). It was exactly the relaxing getaway from the city that we were hoping for. The cabin came fully stocked with all the cooking essentials you could need. We took advantage of all the amenities - from nightly BBQs, to canoeing, to swimming in the pool, to biking (bikes provided) the nearby country road trails, to bonfires at night (wood provided) to using the park pass (pass provided) and hiking and swimming in Algonquin and Bonnechere Parks. Cindy and her husband were amazing hosts - very approachable - Cindy let us pick leafy greens and herbs from her amazing garden, she even got us a pie from a nearby town. That was beyond generous and kind. Highly recommend Greystone for your vacation!

This was my partner and I’s second year in a row staying at Greystone for our anniversary. The whole experience, once again, exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Algonquin cottage both times which is the perfect size for a couple and is right on the water. Cindy and the rest of the staff are incredible and went out of their way to make our stay great. We look forward to returning every year!

My husband and I have just returned from a 5-night stay at one of their cottages. Just as advertised, this boutique resort offers relaxation and exclusivity to their guests. This was our first cottage vacation. From the moment we arrived, we found that everything in the resort [from the cottage interior, lake side view, amenities, to the atmosphere] was just as nice as it was described on their website. This already made us feel that we were in a place run by great people who are honest and they care. And we were right about that--we saw staff members diligently work on the place to maintain a nice outdoor space for all guests. Personally I would like to thank Cindy and Judy for their help and advice during our stay. During our stay, we tried the various amenities in the resort, including canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, and bicycles. I actually learned how to ride a bike in the resort and did the biking trail nearby on my third day there--it was so much fun. We easily spent 2 whole days just enjoying these activites in the resort. We also tried fishing and did catch (and release) one small fish. People who enjoy hiking would probably visit Algonquin Park and area during their stay. We did not do it in our trip as we prefer to spend more time enjoying the water activities and great lake view behind our cottage window. We also visted a nearby town called Killaloe, the brithplace of the famous canadian Beavertails--and yes, you need to try it! Aside from the beavertail, we also had some lovely fry fish there. So at the Greystone there were really enough things we could do / places we could visit during day time. In the evenings, we would have barbecue dinner on our deck and then sat in front of the fire pit on the beach. I think this is a great place for couples and families with young kids who enjoy water activities or would like to spend some relaxing time in a lakefront cottage.…

This was the best and most beautiful B&B I've ever visit!! The view over the Golden Lake ist breathtaking! You can rent bikes, kanus & kayaks for free. We stayed for three nights and every morning the breakfast and service was just perfect! You feel like being home. The staff makes you feel like a family member. You can watch the beautiful sunset and grill your steaks at the BBQ station. There is also an really sweet water, tea and coffe station near your rooms. They also offers you handsome self made cookies fruits and sweets at the entrance. Cindy will give you great tips for the Algonquin Park and where you can have some great lunch. I wish we could stay here for longer cause really everything is just perfect right here! So if you want to book this awesome B&B, do it not just for 1 night! Thank you so much for having us! We fall in love with you! Zoran & Talisa …

Greystone on golden Lake is a beautiful home. The B&B is wonderful. the J. R. Rooney suite we stayed in was amazing. The owners and there staff are wonderful. They service a great and healthy breakfast. The only thing not so good is the WiFi. But that is not up to the accommodation. There is hardly any coverage in the area. Whenever we are in the neighborhood we love to stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights in the queen suite with a lake view. Lovely view of the lake which was very peaceful. Room very comfortable. Air conditioning but also a ceiling fan. Bed very good and slept well both nights. Great free extras - bikes, canoes, kayaks peddle boats and paddle boards. This was a fantastic extra for us and I got to try paddle boarding on the lake which is very calm. Breakfasts were good and they were able to accommodate different dietary needs. Friendly place. Nice greeting on arrival and efficient checking in process with lots of helpful information about other locations and restaurants. We stayed here to visit Algonquin and it worked incredibly well. Breakfast was very nice food. On both days we had yoghurt and fruit, and then a main of either frittata or pancakes. A white roll and muffin each was also provided. Breakfast could have run a little more efficiently, especially when all five rooms chose the same sitting. There is no tv in the bedrooms, but there is one in the lounge. This was not an issue for us. There were extra snacks / fruit free, and also water available and hot drinks could be made. We would return again if in the area.…

Had the pleasure of staying at Greystone over a recent weekend. We were warmly greeted by Mike and Mike when we arrived and parked the car! Their friendly smiles were the beginning of a great experience. Judy, Cindy and the staff were extremely friendly and always asking if they could help in any way. Our room was lovely (the "Sarah" room) overlooking Golden Lake. It was huge! Breakfast was gourmet! Fresh fruit, tasty quiche, homemade waffles with real maple syrup followed by exquisite morning muffins. The service staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife asked about the muffin recipe and the kitchen staff copied the recipe out by hand for her. Awesome! Cindy gave us a couple of Greystone Mugs on departure and they will serve as a great memory of a wonderful weekend. The location is central to many small pioneer villages for some "back-roads" excursions. We are definitely returning!…

We stayed in JR’s Hideway, the quaintest little cabin. All the decor is themed with Roots products, and the little touches are amazing, from coffee table books with the local history, to a stuffed beaver(similar to the roots logo), sitting on a chair. There is fully stocked kitchen, a beautiful bathroom with shower only, and the bed is super comfortable, with lots of nice blankets. The propane fireplace completes the cozy package. There is nothing the host hasn’t thought of!, including Lindor chocolate to welcome us. There is no TV, and it’s wonderful to have no distractions...just nature and books! There is wifi if you need to get your news fix. We loved everything about this little cabin and our getaway and hope to return later this winter for another quiet getaway.
