Detailed Reviews
The beachfront location was great, although I didn’t have any idea it was as far from the town of Las Tablas (about 12km). Carlos was super friendly and helpful, and he really went the extra mile to help the guests out. Delicious breakfast (although I suggest adding some fruit to the options). Like many other stays in Panama, there’s no hot water, although the temperature of the ‘cold’ is actually pretty lukewarm and refreshing after a hot day.

We stayed here for Carnival, and it was the perfect location. PDM overlooks the beach, was close to the festivities for Carnival, and enough of a distance to separate yourself from the crowds. The hosts were friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was SPECTACULAR.

We had the very pleasurable experience of staying here for three days and wish it could have been longer. The rooms are clean, comfortable and just a short walk to the beach or your choice of several good restaurants. The hosts are a delight and the breakfasts are TERRIFIC ! The whole experience was a treat, and we can't wait to visit again. They get my highest recommendation !

This is an absolutely charming hotel right across the street from the ocean. The view from the terrace is wonderful…a perfect place to read a book, have a meal or just chat with family and friends. It is in the perfect location for a morning or evening stroll along the water.
The biggest headache was the road leading from Las Tablas to the hotel -- small pieces of asphalt hold the pot holes together. And it can be a bit tricky to see the street signs etc. So I highly recommend you travel with fresh eyes and in good light. You might want to chat with the hotel staff to get good directions before arriving. But once you arrive at the hotel, it is very nice....a little gem.
The room was very comfortable, nicely decorated and very quiet. Though the bathroom is a bit small, the bed was large and very comfortable…a perfect night’s sleep. There was a small desk area for make-up etc as well. The shower had a bit of temperature variance, but not a big problem. The AC isn’t large and took a little while to cool the room, but it maintained the temperature well. The hotel staff provided towels for the beach and there was a shower on the main floor to knock of the beach sand. There was ample information in English and Spanish.
We had one child in our party (11 years old, quite active) and she would have preferred a more active option (tired of the beach after 1 day), but the adults found the location to be great for relaxing/reading/chatting. We did take a side trip to Isla Iguana off of Pedasi for one day. That was a great trip....but we did not book it through the hotel (cheaper to go to the beach in Pedasi to negotiate with the local fishermen there).
There is an Italian restaurant associated with the hotel….DELICIOUS. Highly recommend that. I believe there are other restaurants nearby as well....but we were happy with the italian one.
Important to know: Cash only - no credit cards. No dogs allowed. There is wi-fi, but signal was weak in the rooms (strong on the terrace). Parking on the beach (not secure - but available).

Our hosts were very attentive, as said before, the breakfast is fabulous! Rooms are good sized, AC is very quiet and cold! If you are looking for a fancy place, this isn't it. Just a clean, comfortable, safe guest house right across the lane from the beach! Ten minutes from Las Tablas.

The B&B sits on the sea, which as people have mentioned is a great place for enjoying the surf and sea breezes. The road from town seems to be in good shape now, with the exception of one spot which they are working on to improve. The B&B now has new hosts Ronald ( from germany ) and Militza, who are very friendly, helpful and outgoing.
The cost of staying there was only $50 per night. But the best part is the breakfast. Ronald believes a great day must start with a great breakfast. We were enticed with several courses, starting with sliced bananas and papaya, then the continental course of Spanish salami, whole grain toast and cheese. The meal ended with a very delicious omelet.

Ronald and Milli are great hosts. A very large breakfast and being treated like you're in someone's home made it special The A/C worked well and it's very clean. Right across from the beach and great seafood restaurants nearby. Close to Las Tablas if you need more to do...but just sitting in the front of the house watching the beach and water was soooo relaxing.

Stayed at Posada del Mar one night with a friend. It is a cute B&B with an incredible ocean front view. The terrace is perfect for watching the sunrise or just hanging out and chatting. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The road from Las Tablas is undergoing some repairs which can be a pain but the beauty of the beach is worth it.

+1
Ronald and Militza run a very pleasant establishment, offering a fantastic breakfast.
The rooms are basic, clean and comfortable. My wife appreciated that the A/C was whisper quiet and easy to adjust to a desired temperature. The rooms are on the sides of the building, so do not face the ocean directly, but it is only a few meters to the deck and lounge with the great views.
Breakfast consisted of seasonal fruits, meats, eggs cooked to order, breads... all DELICIOUS! You can either sit on the deck, or inside in the lounge (if it gets too breezy out).
First impression on arrival was that the Posada was closed (all the gates were closed), but Militza quickly answered the bell, and my wife was at first intimidated by the official house dog barking at us, but she turned out to be super shy - she had been rescued from an abusive situation by Ronald, so is still afraid of strangers and will run away when approached for petting :-(
Playa Uverito is one of those rare places that is still relatively undeveloped, the Posada is one of the tallest buildings around at 3 floors (the lounge, deck and rooms are up a flight of 18 steps from the ground floor entrance - to be considered if someone has mobility problems).
For dining, there is the Restaurant Vista al Mar (corrugated roof and open sides) just about 30 meters down the road. We didn't try the food (because we had already eaten at the Caseron in Las Tablas earlier) but a bottle of beer and a soda cost only $1.15 for both!
Ron speaks German, Spanish and English, so communication was no problem. When reserving online, the deposit can be made through Paypal, Ron will provide you with the needed information.
