The Royale Takitumu is beautiful. We were four older couples and each had our own beach bungalow. It really is a little piece of paradise, right on the beach with snorkelling and kayaking gear available from the resort. Mi'i, Bill, Jimmy and even Salvadore, the cat, couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. Mi'i showed us how to make the e katu, the beautiful, traditional, floral head dresses which we wore to the Highland Paradise Cultural show and feast that night. Six days was just not long enough. We will be going back and next time it will be for much longer. A must is Sunday service at the Cook Islands Christian Church. Thank you everyone at Royale Takitumu.

It was like visiting family. The staff is very friendly and helpful with great local knowledge. Water and beach are beautiful and clean. Try the fish sandwiches at Charlie's down the road they are unforgettable! The Aitatuki day trip is a must.
