Very big room, wonderful atmosphere, pool heated with solar energy surrounded by nature, extremely welcoming hostess, delicious breakfast, very informative wine-tasting, use of the common kitchen for evening meal...we couldn't have asked for more!
A perfect location to explore the wine area east of Bordeaux.
A big thank you to our hosts!

A very charming place - close to Saint Emilion. The rooms were large and spotlessly clean. Perfectly restored with respect for the original parts in these century old buildings. Only four rooms of course makes the experience even more personalized. The hostess was very friendly and service minded - and as an extra benefit having a kitchen and a spacious living/dining room at the disposal for the guests also opens for interesting meetings with new people over cooking or a meal. Every morning breakfast is served with fresh bread and homemade jams. What a nice way to start your day. Relaxing at the pool after a day of sightseeing was also a very welcome experience - just enjoying the peace and quiet. This place is highly recommended! Really unique - for those who appreciate something off the beaten tourist track.

A warm welcome and enjoyable stay for 2 nights. We chose the Patio room, which has its own small terrace with seating, leading to more outside areas around the pool and front garden with lots of space to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Lots of room inside also, including the lounge dining room, where wine tastings are held. A chance to learn about and enjoy the different wines that the Owners produce. Also included is a well equipped kitchen, with fridge, cooker and table with chairs to enjoy a home made meal if you dont fancy driving to the many restaurants in the area. We based ourselves here so we could be close to St Emilion , Lilbourne, and Bordeaux. We made a day trip by car to Biscarosse and enjoyed a lunch by the Etang, all doable in a day from this base. Would recommend a stay here if you are looking for good value.

Booked 2 rooms in this B&B for one night.
One of the rooms is modern with a big bathroom (believe is built in the cottage extension) the 2nd room on the older side of the cottage. The 2nd room is a nice and beautiful room with wooden log roof.

The weather was 40 degree at St-Emilion. The swimming pool in is a great place to get a relief from heat. There is no air con in the rooms but it is cool at night despite the summer heat.
Host are friendly and we have a wine tasting of the great wine they make.

Wow! Les Secrets de Tifayne is such a lovely place. The setting is about as good as it gets with views of vineyards and gently rolling hills. It's close enough to the village of St Emilion to enjoy the day there, but far enough away from its tourists to enjoy complete quiet at night beneath a sky filled with stars. The host is very welcoming and does everything to make your stay delightful. The wine is delicious. The rooms are super comfortable and modern. We had a wonderful walk though the vineyards this morning after breakfast. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.

We stayed for 2 nights. Our room and en suite were stylishly modern and had a view over the vineyards which were full of grapes almost ready to harvest. Had a free, very informative wine tasting on the first night. The wines are very good and very reasonably priced. The hosts were very helpful but not intrusive. This place is very relaxing. We had open run of the kitchen at night to prepare meals which was a bonus as we were tired of eating out.

Nice people, nice place, peaceful location. Oh, and the wine is pretty good too! Stayed here with some friends and couldn't have been made more welcome. I once thought about writing a hotel guide on hotels with no TVs in rooms. This would be first on my list! Silence is golden!

We agree with other reviews about how wonderful this B & B is! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, so we felt right at home. Our room was very comfortable, charming, and clean. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the wine tasting of wines produced there onsite, and purchased a bottle of one of their delicious reds. The setting in the midst of their vineyards was particularly scenic and relaxing. It was also fun to meet and talk to other guests staying there. I wish we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend this B & B if you are passing through this beautiful area.

Magnificent ancient building, very stylishly renovated to a very high standard, on a vineyard where grapes are grown and wine produced by the hosts. Wine tastings are offered, and wine can be purchased. Very good quality good at reasonable prices.
The rooms are large, with massive ensuites, and beautifully presented with high quality fit out.
Wonderful hospitality by the warmly welcoming hosts.
Highly recommended.
