We stayed here 2 years ago and couldn't wait to come revisit. Being from Australia is it quite a long way to come, Michael makes you feel like you are family and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. There is no lift but he gladly carried our bags up the stairs. No need to look for...

We stayed here for one night in early October. This is a small, cozy, traditional hotel/guesthouse. Our room was not large, but was very comfortable, very clean, and overlooked a peaceful river. Our bathroom was also clean and fully functional. The bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and filling. So the guesthouse itself is very nice and warrants a...

Our room had a gorgeous view over the river and the hills around town. The beds were very comfortable and our huge room was a delightful surprise. We were completely...

We wondered what we were going to do for two nights in Schiltach. But they have 4 excellent museums, paths to hike on and lanes to explore. We enjoyed ourselves immensely! It was especially fun to see the Hans Grohe fixtures (upscale bath and kitchen) museum and the logging museum.

We were greeted by our very friendly host Michael who made our stay seem like we were "at home". Close to all facilities with en-suite room facing the street and river. Ideal location and within easy driving of other villages close by in the Black Forest.

We chose this Gasthaus (hotel) because it was in a smaller town in the Black Forest away from the crowds and the touristy spots and could not be happier. The Gausthaus owner, Michael, was beyond accommodating! We left feeling like we were leaving family. Room was a great size, complete with a full kitchen and even a washing machine. Breakfast...

I stayed at Zur alten brucke with my wife for 2 nights in late September. We were both very impressed with the b&b, in particular with the friendliness of the owner Michael and the quality of the breakfast. The location of the b&b is also very good - close to the town square but far enough away to not get...
