Stayed here for 4 nights with some bike mates. Ideal as a base for exploring the region. Food is great even though it is served at a fixed time of 7pm each evening. Price is also very good given that is half board, rooms are clean and comfortable and bikes are stored securely. Great welcome from Nelly the owner. Three of my mates are on their third stay and easy to understand why.

Lovely comfortable hotel in great location. I stayed for four nights with three friends on a motorcycle tour. We received a warm welcome from the owners who speak good English. My room was large, clean and comfortable. Dinner is served at 7:00pm and there is usually a choice of around four tasty home cooked dishes, with starters, desert and often a side salad included. Needless to say we did not go hungry. For a midweek stay the hotel was excellent value. The roads in the area are a great mix of open, sweeping bends and some forest covered hills with tight hairpin bends. Add to this great scenery in every direction and it is a hidden Gem for motorcycling. Better riding than the Black Forest IMHO. Also, the Nurbergring is only 30 minutes away and well worth a visit. Finally after a day exploring the region the hotel has a great bar that you can relax in.

2nd visit since 2013. Great hosts. We had a midweek 4 night half board bargain. Great base for exploring roads in the region on motorbike (routes can be downloaded from hotel website). The hotel has a bar which is great to relax in or you can go to the seating area outside. Outstanding!!

We booked a trip to the Vulkaneifel and landed in Manderscheid, where we had been before. Hotel Am Ceresplatz has a Dutch owner. The staff is very friendly, rooms are ok. They offer a dinner with choice between different main courses. Breakfast is continental and English

2 nights at Hotel Am Ceresplatz. Clean neat room and bathroom (the latter slightly dated) Super friendly, hard working staff. Indicated when booking 1 person vegan. That exceeded our expectations, honestly. A hotel to definitely come back.
