I stayed at this hotel after a recommendation by a friend. I was one of 3 motorcyclists who stayed. Andy & Deb were very welcoming and a mine of information about the area. We used their maps to organise or daily trips with inputs from Andy. The breakfasts were more than ample and set us up for the rest of the day. My room was large with a double bed. As we were in a quiet area, I was able to sleep really well. Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 nights, but will make another visit to this hotel a must for the future. We also found some good restaurants in the area that sold excellent German food & beer. Can't wait to visit again.

Arrived and found easily in a quiet village with not one but two castles within walking distance.
Put my bike in the private courtyard and was greeted by Debbie and Andy, made a drink and shown to our room.
I was travelling with my daughter and our room was large and very clean with a double and single bed with a full sized private bathroom just off.
Andy helped advise on routes to ride and was generally very knowledgable about the area.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.
Had a very relaxing stay and was sorry to leave.

Just got back from staying in this wonderful hotel. We went down on two bikes (2 couples) Booked after a long search not knowing what to expect. It was like being at home, nothing was too much trouble, Debbie and Andy are the perfect host's. Room was large and clean, only thing wrong for me was the pillows, I just mentioned it in passing and the next thing I new more pillows, perfect. Asked for directions from calies - found the hotel with no problems. Loved the roads in Germany especially leading up to the hotel ( they call them the twistys, there not wrong.) Asked advice on rides out, had some idea's of our own and we're given more, Great advice Great rides out. Can't wait to go again.

Have you ever been to a hotel that you actually felt sad to leave? well I did here.
from the moment the 10 of us dragged our sore bodies over the threshold to the morning of our departure we were made to feel like friends rather than customers.
Andy & Debbie are relatively new to the hospitality game having been the owners for less than two years but are absolute naturals and long may they continue.
the hotel itself has secure parking out back, with i believe about 16 rooms all of which are fresh and welcoming, there are a few bits and bobs that could do with a touch up but overall it's perfect.
if your looking for 5 star luxury then this isn't for you but if your looking for a comfortable room with great hosts a lovely little bar and a perfect continental breakfast then this is the place for you, and the Yorkshire tea is now my favorite.if you check out their Facebook page our group are the 10 bikes and bikers outside. go on book it, the roads around the area are perfect, there are some smashing restaurants in the village (the Italian gets a big tick). one word of warning when Andy says the walk to the castles is easy tell him ok, then walk to the top castle and then drive to the bottom one, unless of course your fit and possibly mad.

We stayed here twice on our way to Austria and on our way back. Andy and Debbie are the perfect hosts - they can advise you on where to go and what to do. The accommodation was en-suite in large rooms on both occasions and was all we needed - clean and comfortable rooms with plenty of room to put our belongings and coffee and tea making facilities if required. Breakfast will set you up for the day. Andy and Debbie don't do evening meals but there is an abundance of restaurants within walking distance. There is parking for motorcycles at the back of the hotel and a large carpark just down the road. Manderscheid is a beautiful village (although it has now been given town status is has the atmosphere of a village). There are plenty of things of interest within walking distance and other areas worth visiting a short drive away if you want to see the surrounding area. This is also an ideal stopover on your way to other parts of Germany or further afield - it is about 280 miles from the Channel Tunnel so can make a good first stop when touring Europe.

We stayed with Debbie and Andy on our way to and from the German Alps. What a fab couple + what a superbly quirky B&B (ask about its history!). The courtyard parking is more than safe for bikes.
As other reviewers say, the place is spotless, the beer is great, breakfast is plentiful and the tea is proper! 100% recommended.
We loved the Eifel roads, hairpins and all! Manderscheid is a pleasant surprise with some really good eateries. We'll be back.

OK, so yes this is our third visit to the Schwaben of Debbie & Andy, why do we keep returning to the same place I hear you ask? because once you have walked through that door you become a member of the family.
If you really want to score browny points bring with you a few boxes of Yorkshire tea.
Walk into the bar, have a glass of the "big bottle" beer (its lovely), ruin your fillings on a handful of peanuts (or new for this year mini pretzels), and just chat or read or just chill out. Perfect .
Cheers guys. I'll expect a Christmas card this year....love to Poppy & Jaz

I spent a night here with friends while we were blasting through the hills and valleys of the Ardennes and Eifel on our bikes.

The B&B is located in a side-street of a charming, little German town surrounded by an absolutely scenic country-side. Ample and safe parking is provided for bikes and cars behind the hotel.

Debbie and Any are the British couple who run Hotel Schwaben, and we felt immediately at home here. A warm welcome was followed by some relaxed drinks at the house bar and a pleasant chat with Debbie, which we continued with another round of drinks after dinner in a restaurant nearby.

Our rooms were nice and clean, well-maintained, and the fresh country air and quiet surroundings resulted in a very restful night's sleep. The next morning we were greeted by a plentiful breakfast buffet, and set-off well-relaxed and "re-fueled" for another day of great driving.

I wholeheartedly recommend Haus Schwaben particularly for motorcycle enthousiasts, as well as tourists who seek a home away from home during their travels in this region of Germany at a very fair cost / benefit ratio.

A nice and very friendly managed B&B. Debbie and Andy are the perfect hosts. If you want to feel welcome this is the place. Breakfast was great. ‘Arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend’ is their motto and that is the way they run the place.
