The hotel is located in a palace that was renovated in 2012.

Thanks to the navigation, we found the unassuming hotel on the first try.
We spent one night in this hotel on our trip and it became a worthwhile stay to "discover" the picturesque town of Fossano. We were able to use the secure car park which is only 200m from the hotel,

At the hotel we were very kindly welcomed and escorted to our room. We had booked a standard room and were upgraded to a very nice and tastefully decorated room and bathroom. The design and lighting concept is very well implemented throughout the hotel. It is one of those hotels where you immediately feel at home.

The breakfast room is an absolute eye-catcher, where we could start the day at a very nice and delicious breakfast buffet.

The prices are absolutely fair. In the hotel, at the bar and in the restaurant we were served in a very friendly and professional way.

Many thanks also to Carlos, who helped us with tips on Fassone.
We experienced a very good service in all areas of the hotel, which contributed a lot to our feel-good stay.
Molte grazie a tutta la squadra, saremo felici di tornare.

+ Good sized rooms, good walk in shower (though rather slippery) though for a restricted mobility room the shower head was at about 8 feet when we arrived. Front staff, and cafe staff professional and efficient. Central for the town and the Castello.

- A bit of a rabbit warren of rooms. Secure parking a little way away, though free. Not easy to park outside to unload luggage - you need some luck with a space or traffic.

The hotel is located right in the old town, a perfect location to explore the surroundings.

Our room was at the top floor, just under the roof with views of the church steeple.

Breakfast was well appointed and the staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

We just checked out of Palazzo Righini, on Sunday, after a five night stay. I have stayed at the hotel many times over the past 9 years. There is no question that I will return. It is the finest hotel in the Fossano area. It’s excellence is deserved for the beautiful building, the very attentive and professional staff and the outstanding food & beverage. Un grande grazie a tutto lo staff dell'hotel

Beautiful hotel in the city center of Fossano.
The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. The restaurant is amazing. The quality and taste are worth more than 4 stars!
Our junior suite was spacious with a view on the court - we loved everything about the hotel and we will come back for sure.
They provide high quality for a good price!

We were attending the White Truffle Festival in Alba. We could not find any accommodation in Alba that matched our expectations so we had to broad the search area. We thought it was unfortunate because we wanted to be in Alba for the festival and we did not really want to drive. It turned out to be very fortunate, otherwise we would have never got to experience what Palazzo Righini offers.

Palazzo Righini is 45 minutes drive from Alba, right in the heart of Fossano. The building was originally a convent, then palace, now hotel.

We arrived at the hotel after a 24 hour flight from Sydney, Australia and 3 hour drive from Milano. We were looking forward to our room and we were not disappointed. Check in process was very personalized at the very cozy reception desk. We opted for valet parking service every single day and we were very please about how prompt the car would be ready for us. We could call reception asking for the car and it would be outside the hotel in less than 5 minutes.

We booked a Junior Suite and stayed in room 12, nested close the stairway and the lift but surprisingly quiet. The room overlooks the hotel central courtyard which lights up beautifully at night. The room is nicely decorated with tones of dark green. Minibar is complimentary but options are pretty limited. Nice touch though.

The room was big enough for both of us but we were surprised by the size of the shower. It is like having your own indoor pool! Huge!

Breakfast was served every morning in a breathtaking room. Food quality was great. Orange juice freshly squeezed, Pancakes and omelette are must try.

Visit the conference centre if you have a chance. It is jaw dropping.

We will definitely stay again next time we visit northern Italy.

The Palazzo Righini is a beautifully restored palazzo in the historic center of Fossano. With the help of a navigation system it is easy to get through the little streets and reach the hotel. There is no space to park the car, but for 10 euros per day they will take care of it and will provide it to you whenever you need it.

We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival; check-in was efficient and our junior-suite ready to move in. We thought the room was a bit small for a junior-suite, the ensuite bathroom fairly large though. Our room contained all modern electronic devices nowadays available. Wifi worked perfectly in the entire premises and was free of charge for us, probably because we booked through SLH; as I understand it, guests can use it free of charge for three hours per day, but I feel this should be generally at no costs for all guests throughout the entire stay, as wifi has now become standard like a tv. The double bed had two matrasses with a perfect firmness, the duvet cover and sheets were soft linen (not cotton). The hotel is situated in a very quiet environment, which allows you to keep the windows open at night instead of using the aircon, outside temperature permitting. The bathroom was equipped with a bath tub, a comfortably large shower cabin and two sinks. The hotel's design and furnishing is a felicitous mixture of tradition and modernism.

We spent two nights at Palazzo Righini and enjoyed our dinner at their beautiful gourmet restauarnt Antiche Volte both nights; it is located in the basement and is mostly constucted with brick stone, tables are conveniently apart from each other, the service highly professional and warmhearted at the same time. There were various menu options to choose from, i.e. a traditional Piemontese four course menu with meat and pasta, a five course menu with the focus on fish and seafood and an eight course menu that walks you through the Piemontese food world. And of course they have à la carte as well for those who wish to eat less. We had both, the traditional and the fish menu, and were extremely pleased. Piemontese cuisine is not the lightest and we felt quite full when we concluded our culinary sessions. The quality and presentation of the various dishes was top notch and did not only please the palate but also the eyes. They have an awesomely stocked wine cellar with brands from the region of course, but also from all over Italy. Dining there was an absolute delight, and we will defenitely drive down to Fossanao again for a long weekend or so for a repetition. We had light lunch in the inner courtyard, which was joyful as well. The inner courtyard and the bar are also frequented by smart local Italians, which gave it a special touch of "italianità". Breakfast is served on the second floor in a gorgeous room with frescos and a spectacular pan ceiling. The breakfast was good but not overwhelming, two many sweet items but not enough healthy products, and this is the only weak point that, in our view, could be improved.

You would not expect such a fabulous hotel in a sleepy place like Fossano, and it is by no doubt an option to take into consideration when travelling in Piemonte. We are avid travellers to Italy and have stayed in many five star hotels, which not always lived up to our expectations, but what we have experienced in that little Palazzo Righini was mind blowing. The entire staff was highly professional, friendly, forthcoming, motivated and attractive. To manage travellers's expectations, this is not a resort hotel with a park and a swimming pool, it is an authentic and elegant palazzo in the center of town and that is what it needs to be taken for.

The common spaces in this hotel are lovely, but our room (#9) was a disappointment. We had spent 6 nights in Riva del Garda and Torino prior to our stay with lovely accommodations. Our room here, however, was so small we barely had space to lay our two rolling bags on the floor. It was also very dark. Later, we understood why the hotel kept the windows shuttered up, because when we opened them we had four hours of kids in the adjoining courtyard kicking soccer balls against the wall and playing loudly. The alternative was a cave-like room on a beautiful, sunny Piedmont evening.

The staff at the front desk, however, we're very nice. They helped us plan a wonderful trip and day hike to an outstandingly beautiful national park about an hour's drive away. This was a much needed, energetic interlude to driving around little wine-producing villages near the hotel. The town of Fossano itself was not that interesting.

We ate both nights in the lovely courtyard casual restaurant. The food was very good, but the service was spotty. The first night my wife was never offered olive oil and balsamic for her Salade Nicoise (she was the second night) and had to go to the bar herself to order a glass of red wine with her secondi course. In a restaurant of this class, one would hope the server would stop by your table from time to time to make sure everything was fine. The most annoying thing was the fact that young children were allowed to literally run amuck in the restaurant screaming while the parents obliviously enjoyed their ice cream. Perhaps, this is a cultural difference with America, and it is not necessarily the restaurant's fault, but at 10 pm we expected a peaceful dinner.

The hotel's spa was lovely and a nice perk for guests. Hard to do in the city, but a pool would have been much appreciated on a hot July evening.

All-in-all, this hotel did not live up the our expectations, especially after reading all the other reviews.

Dear Guests, Thank you for your review. We are sorry that your experience with us did not fulfill your expectations. As discussed at check-out, we would have appreciated if you had let us know in advance that you were uncomfortable in the room you were assigned. We cannot control what our neighbours do, but we really care for our guests' satisfaction and would have tried to move you to another room, according to availability. As far as concerns the lounge bar service, we thank you for that feedback, we apologies for the inconvenients that had occured and will make sure to improve this aspect! We apologies as well for the behaviour of the kids that ruined the atmosphere of the dinner. It was a pleasure for us to have you here as our welcome guests, Best Regards, Laura Fruttero
