We spent 7 wonderful days at the Bed and Breakfast Mblo in July 2011. There were 6 people in our group and we all found the accommodations excellent. Four of us stayed in a 3 bedroom with a large eat in kitcken and 2 bathrooms. The other two stayed in a comfortable 1 bedroom with a cozy eat in kitchen and 1 full bathroom.

The bed and breakfast is located in the old part of Fondi with cobblestone roads and narrow streets. You have a 10 to 15 minute walk to the main piazza and Il Castello, with lots of shopping and site seeing. If you need to buy groceries there is a large grocery store less than 5 minutes away. If you want to visit the beach, one of the nearby towns, or go to the train station, a bus stop near the grocery store will take you there.
I would definitely stay at the Bed and Breadfast Mblo and recommend it highly as a place to stay when visiting the this area of Italy.

Visited Fondi for a long weekend visiting friends with my Mum & Sister and stayed here. Really friendly staff, only had B&B and nothing was too much trouble. Little tiny breakfast room with breakfast bar either side, all that you want in a continental breakfast, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, pastries etc... Rooms we had were actually 2 bed apartments which were spacious & clean, a minutes walk from the square with shops & restaurants, a 15 minute bus ride will take you to Sperlonga beach which is lovely, was even given a bottle of water each from the hotel as it was a really hot day. When we return to Fondi again, this is where we'll be staying.

On our way from Rome to Naples, my wife and I spent two days and a night in Fondi. Our immediate interest was in seeing the mountains in which Elsa Morante and Alberto Moravia hid at the end of WWII. Moravia used that experience as a basis for a novel, which de Sica later turned into the movie Two Women with Sophia Loren.
Fondi is a wonderful, historic, mid-sized town on a productive agricultural plain bounded on three sides by mountains and on the fourth by the sea. B&B Mblo' is near the center of town and consists of eight rooms surrounding a small courtyard. Though we arrived early, our room was ready and we were treated to coffee. Our room was really a small apartment with a sitting room, a kitchen and a bedroom with a large bed. The room had been renovated consistent with the centuries old architecture. We enjoyed having the space to relax, read, and plan our visit.
Our host was so gracious that he drove us to the train station after our lunch at the family's wonderful nearby restaurant Ristorante el Vicolo di Mblo'. (We highly recommend the restaurant for the high quality of its dishes, most of which take advantage of the region's vegetables, fish, meat, and dairy products.)
One outing we do recommend is a visit to the restored abbey at nearby San Magno. The setting and buildings are beautiful and there is a picnic area with tables. For us, the treat was the series of small rooms in the abbey decorated in elegant and simple ways for contemplation.
We so enjoyed Fondi, its beauty, low-keyed pace, and our stay at the B&B that we hope to entice friends to return with us.

Went into the beautiful restaurant to ask if there was a room left. Was quickly shown a lovely room. Lots of facilities, very clean, old stone buildings that manage to keep cool at night. Beds very comfortable and possibility to shut windows completely for absolute darkness. Slept like a king and was then served a very nice breakfast consisting of a cappuccino, a crostata all'albicocca and a spremuta d'arancia. Would definitely recommend a stay at Mblò in the heart of the old town of Fondi.

We have stayed here 3x to visit family in Fondi and the inn and its location are fabulous! Walking distance to all restaurants, shopping and the main square/piazza in Fondi. Albano went above and beyond with his service and hospitality! Can not wait to return!

We spent a lot of time in this B and B. Now going on its 10th or 11th year. We always get the one bedroom apartment that comes complete with a full size kitchen and is very large for two or three people. We usually come here to stay near the center of Fondi, and able to walk everywhere. We have been here in the spring, summer, autumn and winter and never had a problem with our stay. The people running it (Alessandro, Albano and Anita) are wonderful. Very professional and courteus and always ready to assist, regardless of what it is..... From helping with luggage, parking, finding the nearest bakery, restaurants, etc..... This B and B also has a restaurant considered to be of the best in Fondi.... And I can firmly say.....that it really is!!!!

We stayed here for a week with my elderly mother whom is from Fondi originally. These apartments are beautiful, clean and have been restored beautifully. We were in 6. We had two apartments for just over a week. One on the lower level, where we stayed with my mother. It was perfect for us as there were two bathrooms and there were no stairs. The other group of 3 stayed on the upper level. They had a kitchen and dinning room. I also viewed the other apartments. I believe they could accommodate more people. They were even more beautiful! Great location. The staff were more than helpful. Excellent location. Can't wait to return!

This bed-and-breakfast was by far the nicest accommodation of all our stops in Italy. Clean, updated furnishings and comfortable beds, along with a traditional Italian flare. Not many people on Fondi speak English, and that’s ok. It’s a beautiful hidden secret with a vibrant town square set in the hills of Lazio. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian experience, outside of the hills of Italy, make your way to Fondi, enjoy the cobblestone streets, amazing food and beverage and Italian hospitality by staying at this amazing bed and breakfast located in a quiet, safe are within a few minute walk of great restaurants and shops.

As a side note, our innkeeper went the extra mile, inviting us into his fantastic restaurant which sits in the shadow of the Fondi castle, and providing the best meal we’ve had in Italy (and that’s saying something!) but only charging us €80 for 3 local beers, a bottle of local merlot and a couple hand-crafted after-dinner drinks, in addition to 2 amazing pasta dishes and 2 large bacon-wrapped filets with roasted potatoes.

Finally, when we found ourselves in a bind unable to get a taxi back to the train station, our innkeeper provided a ride free of charge.

We only stayed one night in Fondi, but thanks to the amazing accommodations, unbelievably tasty food and beverage and one-of-a-kind hospitality, this may have been our best night in a vacation that includes stays in the Tuscan countryside, Florence, Rome and Sorrento!

We were made very welcome by the proprietors & staff of Mblo: excellent food, wine and separate b&b apartment. Couldn't have been better. Perfect base to enjoy the historic medieval centre of Mblo. Grazie Mille!
