A small campsite in the beautiful, medieval village of Alets Les Bains, south of Carcassonne. The campsite has excellent facilities which are kept extremely clean and the water in the showers is always hot. The site has some plots that are more suitable for caravans than tents as they are fairly stoney. Some of the grassier sites are not very...

Flew to beautiful Carcassonne 1hr 35min flight from East Midlands Airport, then 40min train/coach via Limoux arriving just across the road from the lovely historic Alet Les Bains village. Crossed the lovely bridge then just 200m walk to the Chambres De Hote. Idyllic setting. Why only 2 Star? Definitely under-rated. Fresh flowers in the hall-way, wonderful welcome from Christine the...

Loved this campsite. Lovely owners, nice flat sites, immaculate toilet/shower facilities. Close to the medieval city of Carcasonne but actually in the beautiful village of Alet les Bains. We loved it but probably for a short stay rather than a whole holiday.

We just returned from Val d'aleth, and what a great 2 weeks we had. After reading the negative review below I was a little concerned. However, I needn't have worried. Val d'aleth is a very peaceful campsite in the beautiful medieval village of Alet Les Bains. We took our touring caravan and found the the pitches were large enough for...

I stayed just one night whilst travelling but wish it had been more in this delightful B & B in the charming town of Alet Le Bains. My room was immaculately clean and very comfortable, decorated in a simple French style but with a modern bathroom. I woke to the smell of fresh bread from the bakers just across the...

We found this purely by chance whilst travelling through France on our way to Spain. So glad we stopped here in this charming village to break our journey. We met up with the owners Chris and Christine who could not be more helpful. Our room was delightful, mixing a traditional French look with modern comforts. Couldn't recommend it more and...

We stayed here three nights last week, and found it very comfortable, with a large and well-arranged room and bathroom, a comfortable bed, nice furniture, and a much appreciated kettle and cups. The owners are English ex-pats who have been there 21 years. A microwave and fridge space are made available in a common room, which is a nice touch....

We booked a 1 week stay on line at Val d'aleth trusting the information and images about the campsite on their website - I wish we had never found it or believed their website! Most of the Campsite pitches are not big enough for a family tent, cooking area and vehicle. They are furthest away from the toilet block and...

It is a shame that these campers left our campsite so disgruntled and so misinformed. The fact that they decided to ” stop asking us” for information preferring to simmer, whilst preparing a report to publish, instead of expressing their problems “face to face” is also a pity. It is also nonsensical that they should chose a B&B page which...

We loved this small campsite. The pitches are ample and well kept and some are by the river which is fenced off. The amenities were kept very clean and the showers were great as you don't have to keep pushing a button for a little more water like in some sites. The playground kept the children entertained and there is...

My husband and I like prefer small villages to stay in for several days and to tour the surrounding areas by car and return home to our Chambre d'hotes/B&B at night. Val d' Aleth and Alet les Bains couldn't have been more perfect for our needs. Besides the accommodations being pleasant and comfortable and well priced, our hosts were amazingly...
