Alet is a gorgeous old village in a great location for touring the area. L'Escalette is a fine B&B with welcoming, friendly hosts. The house is very old with a quaint garden. The rooms are spacious ,have high ceilings and exposed beams.

Me and my husband stayed here for three nights and we really enjoyed it. Madame Courrieu and her husband have a very nice old house in the middle of the village. We had a room at the top floor and it was spacious, with a big table and a large bathroom. Every morning we were served a continental breakfast downstairs...

The very friendly owners Catherine & Gérard will make you feel welcome within the first few minutes. L'Escalette means "the stairs", and that's what you get - the beautiful rooms are on the second floor, and there's no lift. Prepare to climb the stairs... The B&B is situated right in the middle of Alet-les-Bains. If you have been to that...
