This place is a little paradise! My partner and I stayed in the blue room, while my brother and sister-in-law occupied the small studio in the house next door. Our room was superb, the welcome so warm and kind, the breakfast was royal, perfect location. I highly recommend!

We have stayed at Le Petit Chapitre on several occasions travelling through Belgium. It is a small B & B with 5 very different and characterful rooms. It is set in a small square just off the main square in Chimay, ideal for popping out for a bite to eat. English is spoken and you can pay with card. The owners are extremely firendly and welcoming providing an excellent breakfast with home made goodies delivered in the front room of the house. The Cotton Room is our favourite so far but we have yet to try the Blue or Yellow rooms. In July and August on Friday evenings the main square comes alive with local singers and bands providing a great atmosphere whist sipping the local 'Chimay' brew.

When we visit our family in Luxembourg, we usually stop off for and take in a new town to explore. OK, so Chimay beer is brewed locally as well and a stay there was intended. But, their auberge is closed on a Thursday and we didn't want to drive after a meal. By chance, google maps found this for me and WHAT a lovely stay! The whole hotel is a delight, the breakfast superb.

We booked based on the TripAdvisor reviews and had one of the cheaper rooms on the 1st floor and found it small and cluttered. No room for us and our stuff.
Worse was that we felt that the room could use a good clean, the amount of stuff is probably in the way of the cleaner getting to it properly.
Anyway it was quiet and we made the most of it. Another reviewer has suggested that larger room is a better deal, this may well be the case but it was booked.
We would not stay again

The B&B really stands out from the crowd. It makes a welcome change to the identikit furnished hotels around. It is really charming and left such an impression on us. The cotton room is worth the extra money. When we entered it, it was like being transported back to the 19th century with its antique furniture. It has a lovely view of the church and its lit up stainglass windows. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, even with a hydromassage illuminated bath! Everything is cosy - from the decoration to the breakfast. The breakfast was great (local cheeses, fresh yoghurt, croissants, bread and brioche, and homemade jams according to the season). Geen vlees, mannekes.
The owner was very friendly and made the experience all the better.

This is a small B&B full of character. Possibly too much for some people, and at times style wins out over substance. The chairs in the bedrooms are, for example, better to look at than to sit on.We made the mistake of taking the cheaper room, and it would have been well worth our while paying the extra 10 euros for a larger one, as it really was very cramped. But overall, it was nice to stay somewhere which reflected a certain eccentricity in the owner's choice of decoration. We loved the cats, and brekfast is good, plently of nice breads and pastries, fruit and youghurt. It's very well situated, right in the centre of town, but quiet and with easy parking in the square outside

This is a must stay, a lovely charming hotel in the centre of Chimay. Delicious home made preserves served with breakfast. Every room in the hotel is decorated in its own unique style. I can't wait for my next visit

We were supposed to stay somewhere else but had to relocate and we happened to stumble upon 'Le Petit Chapitre' I'm so thankful we did. It is a wonderful place, full of character and the same can be said about the hosts! If you're staying at Chimay or anywhere near you should definitely stay here.

We returned once again to this charming little hotel in the heart of Chimay.

The rooms are full of charm with each one having a particular them, Cotton, Opera, and so on. Linen sheets, beautifully laundered.

Breakfast is taken in the splendid dinning room which is decorated in the individual and delightful taste of Brigitte Marcq the owner.

Over breakfast we spoke to the other guests, unsurprisingly they all return each year.

Brigitte and her husband Guy are friendly and welcoming. They have a god knowledge of the area and are able to recommend good local restaurants.

We will always return, if You are looking for somewhere to stay in the south of belgium, head for Le Petite Chapitre, you won't be disappointed.
