Amazing experience!!! Close encounters with lion, elephant, hippo, rhino as well as a wide selection of other animals. Spectacular views and 5 star accommodations with gourmet food and excellent service! All for great value! Our game rangers, Jay and Bernice, were amazing. making our game drives experiences to remember. Especially loved the night drive with a lion walking by us...

We have been to Nambiti before but this lodge is superior. Our own chalet is very large and absolutely private with a large deck facing over to mountain ranges many miles away. The catering is excellent. Our ranger was recently qualified but very knowledgeable on all aspects, from birds to insects and flora and fauna as well as the many antelope...

Oh dear.. We had booked a two day stay here as part of a wider tour of this area of South Africa (our third visit to the area). Most of other lodges that we stayed had been family run and maybe this is partially what made the difference but almost as soon as we arrived we found to place to...

The location is isolated with little evidence of human habitation outside of the lodge. The stars at night on the clear nights were simply amazing. Accommodations where truly 5 star, the food was excellent and there was a little spice of thrill from having a lion in the lodge area one night! Game drives were excellent with good viewing, knowledgable...

A private game reserve covering a vast area near Ladysmith a few hours drive from Durban. We had the pleasure of a wedding at the lodge with game drives morning and evening for three days. All top quality with excellent guides with extensive and varied knowledge of the landscape and it's occupants. Our room and that of the other 5...

I'm writing this review from another 5 star hotel a few hours from Nambiti, wishing desperately that I could just go back to Nambiti Plains. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, our suite was massively spacious and luxurious, beautifully decorated, completely private and well equipped. The food was incredible, every meal over the 3 days was top class, and...

The whole experience at Nambiti Plains from the welcome drink, to the villa's beautiful design, to the warm towels waiting after you come back from your game drive, to the hot water bottles on a chilly morning drive to the delicious meals were absolutely perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and were happy with the level of personalized service we...

Our stay at Nambiti plains was incredible. Our room was beautiful, the food was amazing, our rangers were so knowledgable and went out of their way to make sure we were happy and looked after (massive thanks to Dave). The game drives were fantastic. We saw so many animals, and Dave was great at teaching us all sorts of interesting...

Nambiti is a new park, needs time to age and trees to grow but it does have the big 5. Beautiful ellies, great herds of kudu, waterbuck, eland and impala but no hyena, cheetah or wild dog unfortunately. The park is too small. Plains is lovely and in a great position. Our guide, Jono, was very experienced and informative and...
